Տևական ժամանակ է ուզում եմ անդրադառնալ քաղբանտարկյալ Ավետիք Չալաբյանին կալանքի տակ պահելու հարցին, բայց փորձում էի դեռ սպասել, հեռվից ուսումնասիրել իրողությունները, փաստերը, զգայականությունից ու մեյնստրիմից դուրս սառը գնահատել իրավիճակը, և կարծես անդրադառնալու պահը հասունացավ։ Ավետիքը Հայաստանի ու Արցախի համար իրական «գործ» անող մարդկանցից է, ու ոչ թե 2020-ի պատերազմից, այլև 2016-ի քառօրյայից հետո։ Լինում են չէ՞ այնպիսիք, որ չոփը գերան են սարքում, մի փոքր քար են տեղից շարժում, բայց մեկին տաս ներկայացնում, թե ինչեր են արել «էս երկրի համար»։ Ավետիքը գլուխկախ, սուսուփուս, ռեալ գործ անողներից է, ու հասկանալով, որ ինչ-որ պահի հնարավոր է թիրախ դառնալ ապիկար իշխանության համար, որ գուցե կհետապնդեն ոչ միայն քաղաքականությամբ, այլև ակտիվորեն Արցախի անվտանգության խնդիրներով զբաղվելու համար, այնուամենայնիվ համարձակորեն մտավ ակտիվ պայքարի փուլ, քանի որ դրա ժամանակը վաղուց հասունացել էր։
Ավետիքն այն քչաթիվ մարդկանցից է Հայաստանում, ով իր գիտելիքն ու փորձը, հմտություններն ու կարողությունները տարբեր ծրագրերով ծառայեցրել է մեր երկրին, իսկ հիմա դրա համար գտնվում է բանտում, քանի որ ներկայիս բախտախնդիր իշխանությունն անհանդուրժող է պրոֆեսիոնալիզմի ու իրական գործ անող մարդկանց հանդեպ։ «Նրանք պարզապես մի սենյակում չեն հանդուրժում իրենցից խելացի ու գիտակ մարդկանց». չեմ հիշում, թե ով արեց այս արտահայտությունը 2021-ին, բայց տեղին էր։
 
Ավետիքը Չալաբյանն այսօր բանտում լինելով` վճարում է Հայաստանի ապագայի կառուցման գործում պատասխանատվություն ստանձնելու համարձակություն ունենալու համար։ Եվ բոլոր նրանք, ովքեր Ավետիքի պես պատրաստ կլինեն ստանձնելու այդ պատասխանատվությունը, պիտի նաև պատրաստ լինեն, որ հետապնդվելու են այն իշխանության կողմից, որն անարդարության դեմ իր անհանդուրժողականության կեղծ օրակարգով եկավ իշխանության ու դարձավ ամենաանհանդուրժողը արդարություն պահանջողների հանդեպ։
