Ավետիք Չալաբյանը ձերբակալվեց առանց իր իմացության ու համաձայնության կատարված ձայնագրության հիման վրա` դրա հրապարակման հաջորդ օրը։

Օրերս հրապարակվեց Գագիկ Ջհանգիրյանի` առանց իր իմացության ու համաձայնության կատարված ձայնագրությունը, որում նա խոստովանում է մի քանի դրվագով արդարադատությանը խառնվելու մեջ։ Անցել է չորս օր, բայց անգամ գործ չի հարուցվել։
 
Իրավապաշտպան Ժաննա Ալեքսանյանի խոսքով՝ երկու դեպքում էլ պետք չէ կալանքը կիրառել որպես խափանման միջոց.

«Ջհանգիրյանի գաղտնալսումը դատախազությունը 2 օր առաջ է ուղարկել Քննչական կոմիտե, որպեսզի քննություն կատարվի: Եվ առանց քննության չեն կարող Ջհանգիրյանին կալանավորել: Ես չգիտեմ՝ դատարանն ինչ եզրահանգման է գալու, հանցակազմ տեսնելու է, թե չի տեսնելու, բայց ամեն դեպքում, չեմ կարծում, որ կալանքը պետք է կիրառել՝ առանց խափանման միջոցի փոփոխության:

Իսկ Չալաբյանի դեպքի վերաբերյալ մենք մեր կայքում հրապարակումներ ունենք: Մենք պետք է սպասենք, տեսնենք ինչ հիմնավորումներ կներկայացվեն քննության ընթացքում, բայց ինքս՝ որպես իրավապաշտպան, դեմ եմ Չալաբյանի կալանավորմանը: Ես կարծում եմ, որ բացարձակապես կարիք չկար նրան կալանավորելու, առավել ևս, եթե հիմքն այն է, որ նա կարող էր ազդել քննության ընթացքի վրա: Հայաստանում սովորաբար կալանքը կիրառում են որպես պատիժ, և ես կասկածներ ունեմ, որ Չալաբյանի դեմ հենց որպես պատիժ են կիրառել կալանքը, կարող էին և չկալանավորել: Ես կարծում եմ, որ Չալաբյանը պետք է ազատության մեջ լինի»,- 1or.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց իրավապաշտպանը:
