ՀՀ ՄԻՊ-ը Վաշինգտոնում ներկայացրել է մարդու իրավունքների վիճակը ՀՀ-ում

Քրիստիննե Գրիգորյանը Վաշինգտոնում հանդիպել է Ազգային դեմոկրատական ինստիտուտի (NDI) ներկայացուցիչների և Դեմոկրատիայի ազգային հիմնադրամի (NED) նախագահ Դեմիոն Ուիլսոնի հետ։
Ոչ կառավարական կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչներին Պաշտպանը ներկայացրել է մարդու իրավունքների վիճակը Հայաստանում, ինչպես նաև այն հիմնական ուղղությունները, որոնցով Պաշտպանի հաստատությունն աշխատում է։

Դեմիոն Ուիլսոնը հետաքրքրվել է ժովրդավարական բարեփոխումների ընթացքի ու դրանց մարտահրավերների վերաբերյալ Պաշտպանի կարծիքով։ Ուիլսոնը շեշտել է, որ տպավորված է ժողովրդավարական բարեփոխումների օրակարգն առաջ մղելու Հայաստանի հետևողականությունից՝ չնայած, որ երկիրն անցել է պատերազմի ու այլ դժվարություններով։

Զրուցակիցների հարցերին ի պատասխան Քրիստիննե Գրիգորյանը մանրամասնել է հումանիտար հարցերով, կանանց տնտեսական ու քաղաքական հզորացման, հաշմանդամություն ունեցող անձանց իրավունքների ու անկախ կյանքի ապահովման, զինված ուժերում մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ապահովման ուղղություններով ՄԻՊ հաստատությնա կողմից կատարվող աշխատանքները։ Զրուցակիցները հետաքրքրվել են նշված ուղղություններով առկա հիմնական մարտահրավերներից, հաստատության ռեսուրսների առկայությունից։

Քրիստիննե Գրիգորյանը գոհունակությամբ է նշել խնդրահարույց ուղղություններով քաղաքացիական հասարակության կազմակերպությունների, ներառյալ՝ պատասխանատու մեդիայի գործընկերների հետ համագործակցության որակի մասին։ Կողմերը նախանշել են կոնկրետ խնդիրներ, որոնց ուղղությամբ ամերիկյան գործընկերներն իրենց աջակցության պատրաստակամությունն են հայտնել՝ ներառյալ ընթացիկ ու նոր մեկնարկող ծրագրերի շրջանակներում։
