Ադրբեջանի նախագահի արտաքին հարաբերությունների գծով խորհրդական Հիքմեթ Հաջիևը Վաշինգտոն կատարած այցի ընթացքում ամերիկացի պաշտոնյաների հետ քննարկել է Երևանի հետ հարաբերությունների կարգավորման ընթացքը։ Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է  «Թուրան» գործակալությունը։

Հաջիևը  Վաշինգտոնում հանդիպել է պետքարտուղարի օգնական Քերըն Դոնֆրիդի և նախագահ Ջոզեֆ Բայդենի ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ջեյք Սալիվանի հետ։

Ադրբեջանա-ամերիկյան բանակցությունների մեկնարկից ժամեր առաջ դրանց կազմակերպման փաստը հաստատել է նաև Պետդեպարտամենտի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Նեդ Փրայսը։

«Պետքարտուղարի օգնական Դոնֆրիդը պարոն Հաջիևին կփոխանցի, որ Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև ուղղակի շփումներին ցուցաբերվող աջակցությունը բխում է Միացյալ Նահանգների շահերից։ Դա ներառում է թե՛ մեր դերակատարությունը որպես Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ երկիր և թե՛ աջակցությունը Եվրամիության կողմից վերջին շրջանում գործադրվող ջանքերին, որոնց նպատակն է մերձեցնել կողմերի մոտեցումները», - հայտարարում էր Պետդեպարտամենտի խոսնակը։

«Սպիտակ տան ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդականը բարձր է գնահատում այն նշանակալի պատմական և դիվանագիտական ջանքերը, որոնք գործադրում են Ադրբեջանն ու Հայաստանը՝ կայուն խաղաղության հասնելու նպատակով», -  հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Էդրիեն Ուոթսոնը։
