Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնը հայտարարել է, որ շատ կարեւոր է չնվաստացնել Ռուսաստանին, որպեսզի դիվանագիտական լուծում գտնվի Ուկրաինայում ռազմական գործողությունների դադարեցումից հետո՝ հավելելով, թե կարծում է, որ Փարիզը միջնորդական դեր կխաղա հակամարտությունը դադարեցնելու համար, հայտնում է Reuters-ը։
«Մենք չպետք է նվաստացնենք Ռուսաստանին, որպեսզի ռազմական գործողությունների դադարեցման օրը դիվանագիտական միջոցներով կարողանանք ելքի ուղի կառուցել,- ասել է Մակրոնը տարածաշրջանային թերթերին,- Ես համոզված եմ, որ Ֆրանսիայի դերը միջնորդ տերություն լինելն է»։
Ֆրանսիայի նախագահի դիրքորոշումը բազմիցս քննադատության է ենթարկվել Եվրոպայում արեւելյան եւ բալթյան որոշ գործընկերների կողմից, քանի որ, նրանց կարծիքով, դա խաթարում է բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ Պուտինի վրա ճնշում գործադրելու ջանքերը:
Ներխուժումից հետո Մակրոնը կանոնավոր շփվում է Պուտինի հետ՝ որպես հրադադար հաստատելու եւ Կիեւի ու Մոսկվայի միջեւ վստահելի բանակցություններ սկսելու ջանքերի մի մաս:
