Լեհաստանի իշխանությունները որոշել են խզել 1993 թվականից Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության հետ գազի մատակարարման մասին միջկառավարական համաձայնագիրը: Այս մասին լեհական ռադիոյի եթերում ասել է Լեհաստանի կառավարության ռազմավարական էներգետիկ ենթակառուցվածքների հանձնակատար Պյոտր Նաիմսկին:
Համաձայնագրով, որն ուժի մեջ էր մինչև 2022 թվականի վերջը, Լեհաստանը կարող էր տարեկան մինչև 10 մլն խմ գազ ստանալ Ռուսաստանից։
Տնտեսագետ Նաիրի Սարգսյանի խոսքով՝ պայմանագրի խզման նպատակը և հարցերի պատասխանը պետք է քաղաքական ենթատեքստում փնտրել.
«Այսկերպ Ռուսաստանը հակադարձում է սանկցիաներին և փորձում ռուսական ռուբլին արժևորել: Ռուսաստանը ցանկացած միջոցով, այդ թվում՝ Ուկրաինայի տարածքից ցորենի դուրսբերման շրջափակումով, թունաքիմիկատների մատակարարման դադարեցմամբ ցանկանում է հակադարձել սանկցիաներին։ Ամեն դեպքում, սա որոշակի ճնշում է, որը Լեհաստանում կազդի գնաճի և սոցիալական բունտերի վրա, որը կարող է ազդեցություն թողնել Եվրոպայի և ընդհանրապես Արևմուտքի սանկցիաների վերանայումներին։ Յուրաքանչյուրն իր դերը կխաղա և Ռուսաստանի դիրքն ավելի նպաստավոր կդարձնի»,- 1or.am-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց տնտեսագետը։
Անդրադառնալով Ռուսաստանի կողմից տարբեր երկրներին գազի մատակարարման շղթայական դադարեցումների պարագայում տնտեսական հեևանքներին՝ Հայաստանում և աշխարհում, Սարգսյանը նշեց.
«Եվրոպական տարբեր երկրներին գազի մատակարարման դադարեցումը առայժմ Հայաստանի վրա կարճաժամկետում ազդեցություն չի թողնի, երկարաժամկետում՝ կախված կլինի աշխարհաքաղաքական ավելի բարենպաստ դիրք զբաղեցնելուց։ Մատակարարման ամբողջական դադրեցումը կհանգեցնի շատ լուրջ գնաճի և այդ երկրների դրամի արժեզրկմանը, իսկ Ռուսաստանի ռուբլու արժևորմանը, և բնականաբար Ռուսաստանն էլ անմասն չի մնա դրա բացասական հետևանքներից ՝ պատկերացրեք ինչ ծավալի եկամուտներից է հրաժարվում։ Իսկ Եվրոպայում, կարծում եմ, գնաճը կհանգեցնի շատ լուրջ սոցիալական բունտերի և Ռուսաստանի նկատմամբ սանկցիաների վերանայման»։
