Միլիարդատեր ֆինանսիստ Ջորջ Սորոսն ասել է, որ Ռուսաստանի ներխուժումն Ուկրաինա կարող է Երրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի սկիզբը լինել, ուստի Արևմուտքի համար կարևոր է հաղթել ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի ուժերին: Այս մասին նա ասել է Դավոսի Համաշխարհային տնտեսական համաժողովում: Ելույթի տեքստը հրապարակել է նրա մամուլի ծառայությունը։
«Ներխուժումը կարող է լինել երրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի սկիզբը, և մեր քաղաքակրթությունը չի կարող վերապրել այն: Մեր քաղաքակրթությունը փրկելու լավագույն և գուցե միակ ճանապարհը Պուտինին որքան հնարավոր է շուտ հաղթելն է։ Սա է էությունը», - ասել է Սորոսը:
Միլիարդատերը վստահ է, որ Պուտինը, որն ասում էր, որ Ուկրաինայում հատուկ գործողությունը կհասնի Կրեմլի բոլոր նպատակներին, այժմ կարծում է, որ ներխուժումը սխալ էր և պատրաստվում է հրադադարի շուրջ բանակցություններ վարել:
«Բայց զինադադարն անհնար է, քանի որ չի կարելի վստահել: Որքան թույլ է Պուտինը, այնքան ավելի անկանխատեսելի է դառնում»,- ասել է Սորոսը:
«Ես չեմ կարող կանխատեսել արդյունքը, բայց Ուկրաինան միանշանակ հաղթելու հնարավորություն ունի»,- եզրափակել է նա։
Սորոսը 91 տարեկան է: Նա հիմնել է Սորոսի հիմնադրամ բարեգործական կազմակերպությունների ցանցը։ Forbes-ը ֆինանսիստի կարողությունը գնահատում է 8,6 մլրդ դոլար։
