երեկ Արմավիր ՔԿՀ-ում հանդիպեցինք Ավետիք Չալաբյանին: Ոգին տեղն է, կամքն` ամուր: Խնդրեց իր ընկերներին և համախոհներին փոխանցել իր այս խոսքերը՝

«Սա պայքար է հայ մնալու համար
Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ
 
շնորհակալություն եմ հայտնում ձեր հետևողական աջակցության համար։ Մեր պայքարն արդար է։ Ոչ մի զրկանք չի կարող կոտրել մեր ոգին և շեղել մեզ մեր պետականությունը պահպանելու և մեր երկիրն ուժեղ դարձնելու ուղուց ի հեճուկս այս իշխանությունների, որոնց քաղաքական ուղեգիծը հետևողականորեն տանում է մեր պետականության վերացմանը։ Ուստի մեր բոլորի համախմբումը և բոլոր օրինական միջոցներով միասնական պայքարն անհրաժեշտություն է։
 
Ինձ կալանավորելու որոշումն ընդամենը քննիչի միջնորդության ուղիղ վերարտադրությունն է, ինչն ակնհայտ քաղաքական պատվերի դրսևորում է։ Գործող իշխանությունների կողմից իմ և շարժման բազմաթիվ այլ համախոհների նկատմամբ հետապնդումներն ապացույցն են այն բանի, որ իշխանությունը հոգևարքի մեջ է։
 
Էդմոն Մարուքյանի կողմից հրապարակված 6 սկզբունքները ևս մեկ անգամ հաստատում են, որ գործող իշխանությունը գնում է հայ ժողովրդի ազգային շահերի դավաճանության ճանապարհով՝ հանուն սեփական նյութական շահի:
 
Մեր հանրությանն անընդհատ խաբում են՝ հավատացնելով, որ մենք թույլ ենք, տկար ենք, չենք կարող դիմակայել մեր առաջ ծառացած անվտանգային մարտահրավերներին և պետք է գնանք զիջումների․․․
 
Մենք կտրականապես մերժում ենք այս ուղեգիծը․ հայ ժողովուրդը բազմիցս ապացուցել է, որ միասնության շնորհիվ ամենադժվար իրավիճակներն անգամ հաղթահարելի են։
 
Սիրելի՛ ընկերներ, պետք չէ վախենալ հանուն մեր և մեր սերունդների արժանապատիվ ապագայի զրկանքներ կրելուց։ Սա պայքար չէ իշխանության կամ աթոռի համար, սա պայքար է հայ մնալու համար։ Ուստի կոչ եմ անում դուրս գալ փողոց և արտահայտել ձեր կամքն ու ընդվզումը։

Հիշեցնենք, որ «Համախմբում» շարժման անդամ, հասարակական-քաղաքական գործիչ Ավետիք Չալաբյանին անհիմն, առանց որևէ արժանահավատ ապացույցի և քրեադատավարական ընթացակարգերի կոպտագույն խախտումներով մեղսագրվում է ՀՀ քրեական օրենսգրքի 163-րդ հոդվածի 3-րդ մասի 2-րդ կետով նախատեսված արարքը։ Արարք, որն արդեն ընդունված և սույն թվականի հուլիսի 1-ից ուժի մեջ մտնող քրեական օրենսգրքով ապաքրեականացված է: Միտումնավոր հետապնդման և քաղաքական պատվերի դրսևորում է նաև այն փաստը, որ հայտնի ակնհայտ մոնտաժված ձայնագրության հրապարակումից երեք օր անց Ավետիք Չալաբյանը շարունակել է իր բնականոն կյանքը, որևէ կերպ չմիջամտելով քննությանը, չթաքնվելով, սակայն, դա անտեսվել է և այնուամենայնիվ Ա․Չալաբյանի նկատմամբ անհասկանալի հիմնավորմամբ որպես խափանման միջոց է ընտրվել երկամսյա կալանքը:
