Իրանի նավթի նախարար Ջավադ Օջին հայտարարել է, որ երկիրը պատրաստ է թուրքմենական գազը Հայաստան փոխադրել սվոփ համակարգի միջոցով: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին Իրանի նավթի նախարարն ասել է Shana լրատվական գործակալությանը՝ ամփոփելով ՀՀ տարածքային կառավարման և ենթակառուցվածքների նախարար գնել Սանոսյանի հետ հանդիպմանը:
«Թուրքմենստանից Հայաստան գազի փոխադրման շուրջ բանակցությունները սկսվել են, եւ մենք շուտով այդ առումով լավ արդյունքների կհասնենք երկրի գազային ցանցի բարձր թողունակության շնորհիվ: Այսօր բանակցությունների ընթացքում ձեռք են բերվել լավ պայմանավորվածություններ գազի, նավթաքիմիական արտադրանքի արտահանման ավելացման և փոխադարձ կապերի համակողմանի զարգացման վերաբերյալ»,-ասել է Օջին:
Գնել Սանոսյանի հետ հանդիպման ընթացքում Ջավադ Օջին պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել Իրանի գազի ազգային ընկերության կողմից ավելացնել գազի արտահանումը հարևան Հայաստան:
2004 թվականին Հայաստանն ու Իրանը ստորագրել են գազ՝ էլեկտրաէներգիայի դիմաց փոխանակման գործարք, որի հիման վրա 20 տարվա ընթացքում Իրանը գազ կարտահանի Հայաստան, իսկ փոխարենը Իրանը էլեկտրաէներգիա է ներմուծում Հայաստանից:
