Ուկրաինական «Ազով» գնդի հետախուզության բաժնի սպա Իլյա Սամոյլենկոն պատմել է, որ իր ստորաբաժանումը չի կարող հանձնվել ռուսներին, քանի որ հրահանգ ունի Մարիուպոլում իրականացնել «Ազովստալ» գործարանի պաշտպանությունը և չի կարող խախտել հրահանգը։

Այս մասին նա ասել է բրիտանական Sky News-ին տված հարցազրույցում։

«Մենք չենք կարող հանձնվել, քանի որ հանձնվելու հրաման չունենք, մենք չենք խախտի նախնական հրամանը (պաշտպանությունը պահել-խմբ.): Սա շատ կարևոր է, մենք հրամաններ չենք խախտում, մենք խստորեն կատարում ենք հրամանները», - ասել է նա:

Բացի այդ, Սամոյլենկոն հիշեցրել է, որ իր ստորաբաժանումը Ռուսաստանում ճանաչվել է ահաբեկչական կազմակերպություն։ Այսպիսով, նա և իր զինակիցները հանձնվելու դեպքում կենթարկվեն բանտարկության։

Սամոյլենկոն հավելել է, որ «Ազովստալ»-ի պաշտպանները «ռուսական հանցագործությունների ականատեսն են Մարիուպոլում, ուստի ռուսները շահագրգռված չեն նրանց ողջ թողնել»։

Սամոյլենկոն նշել է, որ իրենց համար ամեն օր կարող է վերջինը լինել», սակայն նա չի մտածում իր կյանքի մասին, քանի որ «նրա կյանքը նշանակություն չունի», քանի որ պարտության դեպքում, Ուկրաինայի համար հետևանքներն աղետալի կլինեն։

Նշենք, որ «Ազովստալ» մետալուրգիական գործարանի հսկայական տարածքը դարձել է «Ազով» գնդի ազգայնականների և Մարիուպոլում Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերի զինյալների պաշտպանության վերջին հենակետը: Գործարանի պաշարումը շարունակվում է մարտի 18-ից, և ոչ մի ռազմական փորձագետ չի կարող ճշգրիտ կանխատեսումներ տալ դրա ավարտի վերաբերյալ։

Ռուս զինվորների համար դժվար կլինի գործարանի վրա հարձակման ժամանակ, ուստի «Ազով»-ի զինյալները առավելություն կունենան։ Սա կարող է մեծ կորուստների հանգեցնել Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության և ԴԺՀ-ի զինվորականների համար: Շատ առումներով դա էր պատճառը, որ մայիսի սկզբին ՌԴ ՊՆ-ն ընդունեց մետալուրգիական կոմբինատի տարածքում զանգվածային հարձակումը կասեցնելու որոշումը։
