Եվրամիությունը աջակցում է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խնդիրների, ինչպես նաև Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի վերաբերյալ հարցերի կայուն լուծմանը: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Եվրոպական միություն-Հայաստան դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատման 30-ամյակին նվիրված մամլո ասուլիսի ժամանակ այս մասին ասաց Եվրոպական միության պատվիրակության ղեկավար, դեսպան Անդրեա Վիկտորինը:
Անդրեա Վիկտորինի խոսքով՝ ԵՄ-ն պատրաստ է ավելին անել այդ հարցում, սակայն ամեն դեպքում որոշումները կայացվելու են երկու երկրների միջև, որովհետև ԵՄ-ն ուղղակի միջնորդ է այս ոլորտում:
«Միջնորդությունը չի նշանակում, որ դու պետք է առաջարկություններ անես և լուծումներ գտնես: Միջնորդությունը նշանակում է, որ դու ստեղծում ես մի միջավայր, որ տարաձայնության կողմերը գան ընդհանուր լուծումների»,- ասաց Վիկտորինը:
Ըստ Անդրեա Վիկտորինի՝ իրենք շարունակաբար հանդիպելու են կողմերի հետ, հասկանալու համար, թե ինչ կարող են անել, որպեսզի առաջընթաց գրանցվի բանակցություններում:
«Մեր նպատակն է օգնել հասնել կայուն լուծմանը և բոլորին հնարավորություն տալ ապրել խաղաղության և անվտանգության միջավայրում»,- եզրափակեց ԵՄ դեսպանը:
