Նախօրեին Ռուսաստանի նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովն ասել է, որ Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցողն այդ երկրի ներքին գործն է, բայց Մոսկվան հետաքրքրված է իրավիճակի շուտափույթ կարգավորմամբ։

«Մենք շահագրգռված ենք, որպեսզի Հայաստանում որքան հնարավոր է շուտ ավարտվի այս շրջանը եւ նորից գա կայունության շրջանը, որը թույլ կտա փուլ առ փուլ առաջ շարժվել Ղարաբաղի վերաբերյալ եռակողմ այն պայմանավորվածությունների իրականացման ուղղությամբ, որոնք Ռուսաստանի նախագահի մասնակցությամբ վերջնական տեսքի են բերվել»: Այս հայտարարությունը մերձիշխանական շրջանակներին հիմք է տվել «մեկնաբանություններ» անել, թե Ռուսաստանը ցանկանում է, որ համաժողովրդական բողոքի ակցիաները շուտափույթ դադարեն: Ավելին, նման մեկնաբանություններ տալիս են հատկապես երդվյալ հակառուսական որոշ «շերտեր»՝ մեծ ոգևորությամբ տարածելով նշյալ «մեկնաբանությունը»:

Քաղաքագետ Ալեն Ղևոնդյանը, սակայն, կարծում է, որ առկա է անդառնալիության կետի խնդիրը: «ՌԴ-ն փաստացի արձանագրեց, որ քանի դեռ ՀՀ-ում քաղաքական անկայունություն է ու չկա ներքին կոնսենսուս, ապա Արցախի ու հայ-ադրբեջանական հանգուցալուծման հարցերում առաջընթաց չի կարող արձանագրվել: Իսկ սա նշանակում է, որ փողոցային պայքարի դուրս եկած ընդդիմությունը փողոցում ոչ թե իշխանության հասնելու, այլ Արցախի մասով անդառնալիության կետ անցնել պատրաստվող իշխանություններին դիմագրավելու խնդիր է լուծում:

Ի դեպ, հստակ տեսանելի է, որ պաշտոնական Երևանը, Բաքուն, Անկարան, այնպես էլ Վաշինգտոնը, Բրյուսելը և Լոնդոնը այս հարցում համակարծիք են, այսինքն՝ Արցախը տեսնում են Ադրբեջանի կազմում: Մինչդեռ Մոսկվան՝ ռազմավարական տեսանկյունից, ՀՀ փողոցային պայքարի դուրս եկած ընդդիմադիրները՝ պետական-ազգային շահերի տեսանկյունից, և Ստեփանակերտը՝ գոյաբանական սպառնալիքի առումով, ունեն լիարժեք այլ մոտեցում ու հաստատակամություն՝ գործնական քայլեր ձեռնարկել՝ դա թույլ չտալու ուղղությամբ»,- «Փաստի» հետ զրույցում նշեց Ղևոնդյանը:
