Շվեյցարիայում հնագետները հայտնաբերել են լեռնային բյուրեղի հնագույն հանքավայր, տեղեկացրել է N+1-ը։

Կլիմայի գլոբալ ջերմացման համատեքստում սառցադաշտերի մակերեսը փոքրանում է, ինչը հնագետներին նոր հնարավորություններ է տալիս։ Հին ժամանակներում կլիման ավելի տաք էր, եւ այժմ սառցով պատված որոշ վայրերում մարդիկ տնտեսություն են վարել։

Շվեյցարիայի Ալպյան մշակույթի ինստիտուտի աշխատակից Մարսել Կոռնելիսենը եւ նրա գործընկերները հետազոտել են լեռնային բյուրեղի հանքավայրը, որը հայտնաբերվել էր դեռեւս 2013թ.։ Գիտնականները հետազոտման համար վերցրել են 250 կիլոգրամ հանքանյութ եւ դրանցում հայտնաբերել բազմաթիվ արտեֆակտներ, այդ թվում՝ 41 ռետուշացված (քարե գործիքների պատրաստման մեթոդ) իր։

Բյուրեղից եւ կվարցից պատրաստված գործիքների տիպաբանությունը հնագետներին թույլ է տվել ենթադրել, որ գտածոները պատկանում են մեզոլիթի դարաշրջանին։ Ռետուշացված սայրերից մեկի ուսումնասիրությունը վկայել է, որ հանքավայրն օգտագործվել է մ.թ.ա. մոտ 8 000-7 500թթ.։ Բացի այդ, կենսաբանական մնացուկների ռադիոածխաջրային ուսումնասիրման շնորհիվ հաջողվել է պարզել, որ մ.թ.ա. 6 000-5 800թթ. հանքավայր են այցելել հնագույն մարդիկ։ Բայց առայժմ պարզ չէ, թե արդյոք նրանք հանքավայրն օգտագործել են հազարամյակներ շարունակ, թե եղել են նաեւ ընդհատումներ։

Հանքավայրի տարածքում հնագետները հայտնաբերել են նաեւ մի քանի օրգանական արտեֆակտներ, օրինակ՝ ազնվացեղ եղջերվի եղջյուր։ Դրա վրա եղել են մաշվածության հետքեր, որոնք կարող էին առաջացած լինել կվարցի բյուրեղները հանքավայրից հանելիս։
