Գիտնականները պարզել են՝  ինչպես կարգավորել քաղցրի և ալկոհոլի հանդեպ պահանջը։

FGF21 հորմոնը մասնակցում է մարդու օրգանիզմի սննդային նախասիրությունների ձևավորման գործին:

Տեխասի համալսարանի մի խումբ գիտնականներ պարզել են, որ լյարդում սինթեզվող FGF21 հորմոնը պատասխանատու է քաղցր ուտելիքի և ալկոհոլի հակվածության համար: Մանրամասն ուսումնասիրությունները հրապարակված են Cell Metabolsim:

Մկների վրա մի շարք փորձարկումների արդյունքում պարզել են, որ այս հորմոնը արտադրվում է շաքարի օգտագործման արդյունքում և ազդում է հիպոտալամուսի վրա, դրանով կարգավորելով ախորժակը:

Գիտնականները մկների համար երկու իրավիճակ էին մոդելավորել՝ առաջին դեպքում հորմոնի դեֆիցիտ, իսկ մյուս դեպքում գերհագեցածություն:

Պարզվել է, որ FGF21-ի դեֆիցիտը ստիպում է կրծողնեին ուղղակի հարձակվել քաղցրի վրա:

Նույն փորձը կատարվել էր նաև կապիկների վրա և գրանցված արդյունքները նմանատիպ էին, սակայն գիտնականները նաև նկատել էին ձգում դեպի ալկոհոլ:

Այսինքն հորմոնը՝ FGF21-ը, պատասխանատու է քաղցրի և ալկոհոլի հանդեպ մարդու հակվածության համար, ազդելով նրա վարքի վրա:

Գիտնականների պլաններում է ստացած արդյունքները օգտագործել ալկոհոլիզմի, դիաբետի և ճարպակալության բուժման համար:

Սա գիտնականների առաջին հետազոտությունը չէ, կապված ալկոհոլիզմի հետ: Նախկինում հետազոտողների խմբերը պարզել էին, որ ավելի մեծ տարողությամբ բաժակները մարդկանց ստիպում է ավելի շատ ալկոհոլ օգտագործել:
