Փետրվարի 24-ին Զինված ուժերի ԳՇ պետի պաշտոնից Արտակ Դավթյանի անակնկալ ազատման պատճառների մասին այդպես էլ պաշտոնապես չհաղորդվեց։ Դավթյանի մտերիմներից մեկը մեզ պատմեց, որ Դավթյանն ավելի վաղ անձամբ է ցանկացել հրաժարվել պաշտոնից, նա իր մերձավոր շրջապատում բողոքել է, թե բանակը քանդում են, սակայն նրան, կարելի է ասել, պատանդի կարգավիճակում են պահել՝ սպառնալով, թե հակառակվելու դեպքում իրեն քրեական պատիժ է սպասվում։ Դավթյանը մտերիմներին ասել է, թե իրեն «պադստավկա» են արել: Իսկ թե ինչ հարցում, մեր զրուցակիցը չմանրամասնեց՝ ակնարկելով, որ Դավթյանի վերաբերյալ քրեական գործ է պատրաստվում։
Հիշեցնենք, որ նրան մեղադրանք է առաջադրված Դավիթ Տոնոյանի գործով: Դավթյանի մտերիմը պնդում էր, որ նրան ԳՇ պետի պաշտոնից ազատելուց հետո այլ պաշտոն են առաջարկել` չի համաձայնել։ Մեզ չհաջողվեց զրուցել անձամբ Դավթյանի հետ, նա ազատվելուց հետո անհասանելի է, բայց ակնհայտ է, որ այս լուրերն իր իմացությամբ են տարածում, ինչը նշանակում է, որ նա առաջիկայում կարող է խոսել եւ իր դժգոհությունները բարձրաձայնել։ Նշենք, որ մինչ այս պահը ԳՇ պետ չի նշանակվել` նրա տեղակալ Քոչունցը պետի պաշտոնակատարն է։
