ԱԺ-ում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում «Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Արամ Վարդևանյանը՝ անդրադառնալով ընդդիմության կողմից ՀՀ նախագահի թեկնածու առաջադրելու հարցին ասաց, որ հարցը դեռևս քննարկման փուլում է. «Քննարկումների փուլն է, երկու ընդդիմադիր խմբակցությունները միասնական քննարկումներ են ունենում այս ժամանակահատվածում։ Կարծում եմ՝ առաջիկայում այդ հայտարարությունը կարվի»:

Նա նշեց, որ այս պահին թեկնածուների անունների վերաբերյալ ոչինչ չի կարող ասել, քանի որ փաստացի նման բովանդակությամբ քննարկում դեռևս չի եղել։

«Կարծում եմ՝ երեկոյան, վաղը տեղեկությունը մանրամասն կլինի՝ հաշվի առեք, որ ի վերջո 5-օրյա ժամկետը կա։ Գիտեք, որ երկու խմբակցություններն այս ընթացքում տարբեր հարցերում հանդես են եկել միասնական դիրքորոշմամբ։ Այս անգամ նման դիրքորոշմամբ հանդես չգալու հիմքեր ես չեմ տեսնում»,- հավելեց Արամ Վարդևանյանը։

Հարցին՝ քննարկվե՞լ է նախկին դեսպան Էդգար Ղազարյանի թեկնածության հարցը, պատգամավորը պատասխանեց, որ կոնկրետ թեկնածուների անուններ այս պահին չի կարող ասել։

«Ի վերջո, Վահագն Խաչատուրյանին հավասարազոր դա կարծես թե նշանակում է, որ պետք է քաղաքական թիմի մարդ լինի, այսինքն՝ Սահմանադրությանը հակասող թեկնածու։ Մեր դիրքորոշումը այս ժամանակահատվածում տեսել եք, որ մշտապես տրամաբանությունը վերցրել ենք այն, որ Սահմանադրության կարգավորումները պետք է հարգել։ Նույնը, օրինակ, նախագահի թեկնածուի անունը հայտնել այն ժամանակ, երբ Արմեն Սարգսյանը կարող էր դիմումը հետ վերցնել, նշանակում է՝ չհարգել Սահմանադրությունը»։
