Վերջին մի քանի օրերի ընթացքում «Իսլամական պետություն» («ԻՊ») ահաբեկչական կազմակերպության դեմ միաժամանակ լայնամասշտաբ գրոհներ են նախաձեռնվել և՛ Իրաքում, և՛ Սիրիայում:

Այսպես, դեռևս դեկտեմբեր ամսվա սկզբին իրաքյան բանակային ստորաբաժանումները և նրան հարող ուժերը նախաձեռնել են արևմտյան ալ-Անբար նահանգի (սահմանակցում է Սիրիային, Հորդանանին, Սաուդյան Արաբիային) վարչական կենտրոնը հանդիսացող ալ-Ռամադի քաղաքի ազատագրման ռազմագործողությունը. քաղաքը վերջնականապես ԻՊ-ի վերահսկողության տակ էր անցել այս տարվա մայիս ամսվա կեսերին: Իրաքյան ուժերի առաջխաղացումը բավական դանդաղ էր ընթանում, չնայած այն հանգամանքին, որ քաղաքի դեմ գրոհն իրականացվում էր միաժամանակ 3 ուղղություններով։ Ընդ որում ԻՊ-ի դեմ պայքարող ԱՄՆ-ի գլխավորած կոալիցիոն օդուժը ևս փորձում է հնարավորինս աջակցել ռազմագործողությանը: Եվ ահա, ըստ վերջին տեղեկությունների, իրաքյան բանակն արդեն իսկ պատրաստվում է մուտք գործել ալ-Ռամադի (գրառմանը կցված տեսանյութերից առաջինը): Այս քաղաքի վերջնական ազատագրումից հետո Իրաքում ԻՊ-ի վերահսկողության ներքո գտնվող ամենառանցքային շրջանը կմնա երկրի՝ մեծությամբ երկրորդ քաղաքը հանդիսացող Մոսուլը:

Ինչ վերաբերում է Սիրիային, ապա մի շարք չափավոր ու տարբեր էթնիկ խմբերի ներկայացուցիչներից կազմված հակակառավարական խմբավորումների միավորող «Սիրիական ժողովրդավարական ուժեր» («SDF») կոչված կառույցը դեկտեմբերի 23-ին պաշտոնապես հայտարարել է երկրի հյուսիսում՝ Եփրատ գետի ավազանում գտնվող և ռազմավարական նշանակություն ունեցող «Թիշրին» ջրամբարի ազատագրման ռազմագործողության մասին(գրառմանը կցված տեսանյութերից երկրորդը): Այս հանգամանքն, ըստ էության, նշանակում է Սիրիայում ԻՊ-ի կենտրոնը հանդիսացող ալ-Ռակկա քաղաքի համար պայքարի մեկնարկը: Պետք է նշել, որ «SDF»-ի ստորաբաժանումներին ևս էականորեն աջակցում է կոալիցիոն օդուժը:
