Խորհրդարանական ընդդիմադիր դաշինքներում ներքին քննարկումներ են ընթանում նախագահի թեկնածուի շուրջ, սակայն դեռեւս նեղ կազմով, ինչի մասին խմբակցություններում ոչ բոլորն են տեղյակ: Մասնավորապես «Հայաստան» դաշինքի խմբակցության մեր աղբյուրներից տեղեկացանք, որ ղեկավար կազմը՝ Ռ․Քոչարյանի ստեղծած խորհուրդն է քննարկում այդ հարցը, ցանկանում են հնարավորինս ապաքաղաքական թեկնածու ներկայացնել: Հստակ է մի բան, որ դաշինքի ղեկավար Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի թեկնածությունը չեն առաջադրի, նախ որ, ինքը չի ցանկանում, երկրորդ՝ դաշինքում համարում են, որ ՔՊ մեծամասնությունը բնականաբար իր թեկնածուին է անցկացնելու՝ չարժի Քոչարյանի «ծանր տեղը թեթեւացնել»:
Խմբակցությունում առհասարակ թեկնածու առաջադրել-չառաջադրելու հարցի շուրջ կարծիքները կիսվում են, ոմանք կարծում են, որ ընդհանրապես պետք չէ «գալոչկայի» համար թեկնածու առաջադրել, եթե գործընթացի տրամաբանական շարունակությունը չի տանելու իշխանափոխության, այսինքն՝ իրենց թեկնածուն չի ընտրվելու։ Առաջադրել կարելի էր, եթե վստահ լինեին, որ ընտրվելու է ՀՀ նախագահ եւ իր լիազորություններով արգելակելու է գործադիրի ու օրենսդիրի կամայականությունները: Իսկ առաջադրելու կողմնակիցները առարկում են, թե՝ այդ տրամաբանությամբ պետք է վայր դնեն մանդատները ու գնան տներով:
Հնարավոր է ընտրեն ոսկե միջինը եւ աջակցեն «Պատիվ ունեմ» խմբակցության թեկնածուին, եթե, իհարկե, վերջիններս թեկնածու առաջադրեն: Բանն այն է, որ ըստ տեղեկությունների՝ ՊՈՒ-ում քննարկել են արդարադատության նախկին նախարար Դավիթ Հարությունյանի թեկնածությունը, բայց դեռ վերջնական որոշում չեն ընդունել, քանի որ այստեղ էլ մեծամասնությունը կարծում է, որ չարժե անիմաստ ժամանակի վատնել եւ թեկնածու առաջադրել՝ իմանալով, որ չի ընտրվի: Իսկ եթե, այնուամենայնիվ, որոշեն առաջադրել, Հարությունյանը դուրս կգա կուսակցությունից, նա ՀՀԿ ԳՄ անդամ է: ՀՀԿ-ականները մեզ ասացին, որ նման քննարկում չեն ունեցել:
Նշենք նաեւ, որ «Հայաստան» դաշինքում բացառում են խմբակցությունից որեւէ մեկին առաջադրելը, թեպետ համացանցում քննարկվում է Սեյրան Օհանյանի անունը:
