Հունվարի 27-ին ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանն ընդունել է Հայաստանում Սիրիայի Արաբական Հանրապետության արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Մոհամմեդ Հաջ Իբրահիմին, ով մեր երկրում ավարտում է իր դիվանագիտական առաքելությունը, տեղեկացնում է ԱԺ մամուլի ծառայությունը:

Ալեն Սիմոնյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել դիվանագետին հայ-սիրիական  հարաբերությունների զարգացման գործում ունեցած ներդրման  համար եւ համոզմունք հայտնել, որ դեսպանի պաշտոնավարման տարիներին ձեւավորված փոխհարաբերությունները շարունակական են լինելու երկու երկրների համար:

Խորհրդարանի նախագահը վստահեցրել է, որ Ազգային ժողովը շարունակելու է բարեկամ Սիրիայի հետ արդյունավետ համագործակցությունը ե՛ւ միջազգային ասպարեզում, ե՛ւ երկկողմ հարաբերությունների զարգացման գործում:

Սիրիայի Արաբական Հանրապետության  դեսպանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ջերմ խոսքերի համար՝ նշելով, որ մեծ ոգեւորությամբ  եւ սիրով է աշխատել Հայաստանում: Նա ընդգծել է, որ իր առաքելության իրականացումը զուգորդել է Հայաստանի պատմական ժառանգության ուսումնասիրմամբ եւ նոր բացահայտումներով: Դեսպանի նկարագրմամբ՝ ինչպես ժամանակին Կոլոմբոսն է հայտնաբերել Ամերիկան, այդպես էլ աշխարհը կարիք ունի բացահայտելու  Հայաստանն ու հայ ժողովրդի դարավոր իմաստությունը:

Ալեն Սիմոնյանը հաջողություններ է մաղթել դիվանագետին հետագա գործունեության ընթացքում, իսկ Սիրիայի բարեկամ ժողովրդին հարատեւ խաղաղություն եւ բարօրություն է փոխանցել:
