eadaily.com-ը գրում է, որ Վիեննայում Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ նախարար Ջեյհուն Բայրամովի և Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալության (ՄԱԳԱՏԷ) գլխավոր տնօրեն Ռաֆայել Գրոսիի հանդիպման ժամանակ քննարկվել են Հայաստանում ատոմակայանի շահագործման ընթացքի անվտանգության հարցեր: Հանդիպմանը ադրբեջանցի նախարարն ընդգծել է 1968 թվականի Միջուկային զենքի չտարածման պայմանագրի կարևորությունը նման զենքի չտարածման հարցում և կարևորել ՄԱԳԱՏԷ-ի դերն այդ գործում։ Նրանք նաև նշել են «հնացած տեխնոլոգիաներով ատոմակայանի (Մեծամորի ԱԷԿ) շահագործման ընթացքում անվտանգության պահանջներին Հայաստանի համապատասխանության մոնիտորինգի կարևորությունը։ Ռաֆայել Գրոսսին իր հերթին Ադրբեջանին անվանել է ՄԱԳԱՏԷ-ի կարևոր գործընկեր և նշել տարբեր ոլորտներում կողմերի միջև հաջող համագործակցությունը։
Պաշտոնական Բաքվի կողմից «հնացած տեխնոլոգիաներով հայկական ատոմակայանի անվտանգության» վերաբերյալ արտահայտած մտահոգության կապակցությամբ հիշեցնենք, որ 2020 թվականի հուլիսին՝ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի սահմանի հյուսիսարևել յան հատվածում կտրուկ սրման պահին (Ղարաբաղում 44-օրյա պատերազմի մեկնարկից մի քանի շաբաթ առաջ), Ադրբեջանի ռազմական գերատեսչությունը հանդես էր եկել հայկական ատոմակայանի վրա «բարձր ճշգրտության հրթիռային հարված» հասցնելու Բաքվի ունակության մասին չափազանց երկիմաստ հայտարարությամբ։ Պաշտոնական Երևանը, ի պատասխան նման սպառնալիքի, հայտարարել էր, որ Բաքուն հայ ժողովրդի նկատմամբ դրսևորում է «պետական ահաբեկչություն» և «ցեղասպանական մտադրություններ»։ Հայկական ատոմային էլեկտրակայանը (ՀԱԷԿ) միակն է Հարավային Կովկասի տարածաշրջանում: Անցյալ տարի ռուս մասնագետներն ավարտել են ատոմակայանի արդիականացման աշխատանքները և նրա շահագործումը երկարաձգել մինչև 2026 թվականը։
