Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն իր առցանց ասուլիսի ժամանակ, անդրադառնալով հայ-թուրքական հարաբերությունների կարգավորմանը, ասել է, որ Հայաստանը երբեք Հայ դատի քաղաքականություն չի վարել և որ երբեք Հայաստան-Թուրքիա սահմանը կասկածի տակ չի առել։ Վերջերս էլ Թուրքիան Հայաստանին հրավիրել է Անթալիայի դիվանագիտական ֆորումին, իսկ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հնարավոր համարեց, որ առաջարկը չեն մերժի։

Այս թեմայի մասին զրուցել ենք թուրքագետ Ռուբեն Սաֆրաստյանի հետ։

Հարցին, թե այդ պահանջների մասով Հայաստանն ի՞նչ դիրքորոշում է ունեցել` թուրքագետն ասել է․ «Հայաստանի դիրքորոշումը ես չգիտեմ, բայց կարող եմ Թուրքիայի դիրքորոշումն ասել, որ, այո՛, Թուրքիան բանակցություններից առաջ հրաժարվեց, այսպես ասած, պահանջներից, բայց ես համոզված եմ, որ այդ պահանջները քննարկման կդրվեն բանակցությունների ընթացքում արդեն որպես քննարկման խնդիրներ։ Վստահ եմ, որ այդ հարցերը Թուրքիան արդեն կդնի քննարկման, ու այդտեղ մնում է, որ մեր ներկայացուցիչը կարողանա հստակ դիրքորոշում արտահայտել ու ընդգծել, որ այդ հարցերում զիջումների չենք գնալու»։

Անդրադառնալով հարցին, թե ինչ կտա ֆորումին մասնակցելը մեզ` թուրքագետն ասաց․ « Դա Թուրքիայի կազմակերպած հերթական շոուներից է։ Թուրքիայի համար հիմա շատ կարևոր է աշխարհում բարձրացնել իր հեղինակությունը ու դրա համար էլ այդպիսի բաներ է կազմակերպում։ Այդ Անթալիայի դիվանագիտական ֆորումը շոուներից մեկն է, և չեմ կարծում, թե իրական լուրջ հարցեր կքննարկվեն։ Հայաստանին, որ հրավիրում են, այդ շոուի մի մասն է կազմում, որովհետև դա իրենից ոչինչ չի ներկայացնում, ուղղակի այնտեղ պետք է արտգործնախարարները, այսպես ասած, երևան։ Հայաստանին հրավիրելով՝ ժեստ են անում, ցույց են տալիս, թե տեսեք՝ ուզում ենք հարաբերությունները կարգավորել»։
