«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. Պարզվում է՝ ՀՀ արդեն նախկին նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը դեմ չէ ընդլայնված լիազորությունների դեպքում նախագահ լինել, համենայնդեպս այդպիսի հայտարարություն նա արել է 2020 թվականի վերջում Գյումրիում հասարակայնության ներկայացուցիչների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ: Պաշտոնական հաղորդագրության մեջ թռուցիկ է ներկայացված սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների հատվածը, եւ մեծ տեղ է հատկացված նրա այն կարծիքին, որ արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրություններ պետք է անցկացվեն մեկուկես տարի անց:

«Եթե մենք ուզում ենք ունենալ նորմալ ընտրություններ, պետք է Ընտրական օրենսգիրքը փոխենք, Սահմանադրության մեջ փոփոխություն պետք է անենք։ Միակ ձեւն այն է, որ պրոֆեսիոնալ կառավարություն լինի, իսկ մնացած բոլոր քաղաքական գործիչները թող պատրաստվեն ընտրություններին՝ մեկ կամ մեկուկես տարի հետո։ Այս մարդիկ պետք է ժամանակ ունենան, որ իրենց կոնսոլիդացնեն, մեջտեղ գան նոր առաջնորդներ, հատկապես՝ երիտասարդները», – նշված է հայտարարությունում: Սակայն, այս ամենից զատ, նախագահը չի թաքցրել, որ եթե երկրում կառավարման համակարգ փոխվի, եւ անցում կատարվի նախագահական կամ կիսանախագահական համակարգի, նա դեմ չի լինի իր թիմով մասնակցել ընտրությունների:

Այս մասին «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի հետ զրույցում նշեց գյումրիաբնակ քաղաքագետ Գագիկ Համբարյանը, որը եւս մասնակցել է Արմեն Սարգսյանի այդ հանդիպմանը: «Նա ասել է, որ եթե ապագայում տեղի ունենան սահմանադրական փոփոխություններ, ապա ինքը չի բացառում, որ իր թիմը կկազմի եւ ակտիվորեն կմասնակցի քաղաքական գործընթացների: Նա մանրամասն նշում էր, թե ինչպես է պատկերացնում տնտեսության զարգացումը եւ այլ հարցեր: Ես չեմ կարծում, թե Արմեն Սարգսյանը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի համար ճանապարհ է հարթում, քանի որ նա անծայրածիր հնարավորություններ ունի», – նշեց նա: Իհարկե, սա վարկածներից մեկն է. ավելի լայն շրջանակներ չեն բացառում, որ նա հեռացավ իր պաշտոնից՝ գիտակցելով, որ առաջիկայում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի կողմից կարող են որոշումներ կայացվել։
