ՀՀ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը նախօրեին հրաժարականի դիմում ներկայացրեց։ Նախագահի հրաժարականի դիմումը միանշանակորեն չընդունվեց հանրության կողմից։

Այս թեմայի շուրջ զրուցել ենք քաղաքագետ Արմեն Բաղդասարյանի հետ։

Հարցին, թե ինչպե՞ս եք մեկնաբանում Արմեն Սարգսյանի որոշումը` քաղաքագետն ասաց. «Զարմանալի է, որ այսքան ուշացավ այդ հրաժարականը։ Արմեն Սարգսյանն իր հրաժարականի տեքստում ամեն ինչ բավականին պարզ ներկայացրել է, կարծում եմ՝ նա անկեղծ է, երբ ասում է, որ իրեն հնարավորություն չի տրվել իր հնարավորությունները, կապերը ծառայեցնել պետության շահերին, որովհետև իշխանական շրջանակներն այդտեղ վտանգ էին տեսնում։ Նախագահի հրաժարականը շատ մտահոգիչ է, որովհետև նախ՝ նա երևի այն եզակի մարդկանցից էր, որոնք դրսում շատից-քչից հեղինակություն ունեին և երկրորդ՝ նա այն առանցքային քաղաքական ֆիգուրն էր, որ ներքաղաքական լարված ֆորսմաժորային իրավիճակներում կարող էր համեմատաբար կայուն պահել ներքաղաքական իրավիճակը: Հիմա այդ գործոնն էլ չկա, այսինքն՝ Աստված չանի, եթե երկրում ինչ-որ ցնցումներ սկսվեն, չի լինելու այն բուֆերը, որը թույլ է տալու ներքաղաքական գործընթացները ձևավորել քաղաքակիրթ հունով, այդ բուֆերն էլ վերացավ, ինչի համար էլ կարծում եմ, որ այս հրաժարականը բավականին մտահոգիչ է։ Ի դեպ, ինձ զարմացնում է հասարակության այդ անհասկանալի, հումորային վերաբերմունքը կատարվածի նկատմամբ, մինչդեռ երկրում շատ լուրջ բան է տեղի ունեցել և շատ մտահոգիչ»։
