Այս տարի աշխարհի ամենաաղքատ երկրները ստիպված կլինեն կտրուկ ավելացնել վարկատուներին վճարումները։ Պարտքի ռեստրուկտուրիզացիայի կարիք ունի եկամտի ցածր մակարդակ ունեցող երկրների մոտ 60 տոկոսը։ Նման եզրակացության են եկել Համաշխարհային բանկի փորձագետները, հայտնում է Financial Times-ը։

Ընդհանուր առմամբ 74 նման երկրներ պետք է վճարեն 35 միլիարդ դոլար՝ 45 տոկոսով (10,9 միլիարդ դոլար) ավելի, քան վճարել են 2020 թվականին (վերջին հասանելի տվյալներ): 

Պետական դեֆոլտի գլխավոր թեկնածու է նշվել Շրի Լանկան։ Գանան, Էլ Սալվադորը եւ Հոնդուրասը կարող են աջակցել չվճարումների հաջորդ համաճարակին։ Համաշխարհային բանկի տվյալներով՝ աշխարհը հայտնվել է պարտքային ճգնաժամի շեմին այն պատճառով, որ համաճարակի ժամանակ խոցելի երկրները վարկեր են վերցրել ոչ թե միջազգային կազմակերպություններից, այլ կապիտալի շուկաներից։

Կազմակերպության նախագահ Դեյվիդ Մալպասը նշել է, որ վճարումների կտրուկ աճը տեղի է ունենում հենց այն ժամանակ, երբ աղքատ երկրները դրա համար ռեսուրսներ չունեն։ Նա ընդգծել է, որ իրավիճակից օգտվելու պարտատերերի ցանկությունն ի սկզբանե մեծացրել է անկանոն դեֆոլտի ռիսկը։

Փորձագետների կարծիքով՝ ներկայիս պարտքային խնդիրները կարող են երկրներին արժենալ զարգացման տասնամյակներ: Ի վերջո, նրանք առայժմ միայն մեկ ելք ունեն դեֆոլտից խուսափելու համար՝ դա վարկատու երկրների հետ բանակցություններ վարելն է՝ պայմանները մեղմելու համար, իսկ հետո սկսել նույն բանակցությունները մասնավոր վարկատուների հետ։ Չադը, Զամբիան եւ Եթովպիան արդեն դիմել են նման լուծման։
