Ի՞նչ ասոցիացիաներ են ունենում մարդիկ, երբ լսում են Harley-Davidson արտահայտությունը: Դա, իհարկե, ազատության զգացումն է, շարժիչի աղմուկը և լեգենդար մոտոցիկլի տեսքը: Ցանկացած մարդ կարող է տարբերել Harley-ն այլ մոտոցիկլներից: Harley-Davidson- ն ունի ավելի քան մեկդարյա պատմություն: Harley-Davidson Motor ընկերությունը հիմնադրվել է դեռ 1903 թվականին Արթուր Դևիդսոնի և Ուիլ յամ Սելվեստեր Հարլիի կողմից: Harley-Davidson ապրանքանիշի ներքո այդ ընկերությունն արտադրում է 5 ապրանքանիշի տարբեր մոտոցիկլներ, որոնք տարբերվում են ոչ միայն անունով, այլ նաև իրենց տարբեր բնութագրերով: Դասական ամերիկյան մոտոցիկլները վաճառվում են Softtail ապրանքանիշի ներքո: Այդ մոտոցիկլները ևս հաճախ անվանում են «Harley Davidson»:

Softtail անունը գալիս է հետևի կախոցի տեսքից, որը կրկնօրինակում է 30-40-ականների մոտոցիկլների կոշտ շրջանակը: Softtail մոտոցիկլներն ունեն հատուկ ոտնակներ, որոնք ապահովում են հարմարավետ տեղադրում (chopper): Ավելի թեթև ու արագաշարժ մոտոցիկլներն արտադրվում են Dyna Glide ապրանքանիշի ներքո: Արտաքին տեսքով այն նույնպես հիշեցնում է դասական մոտոցիկլ: Touring ապրանքանիշի մոտոցիկլները նախատեսված են ճանապարհորդելու համար: Դրանք պատրաստված են երկարատև վարման համար. ունեն հատուկ անվտանգության կամարներ, դիմապակի և հակամառախուղային լույսեր: Harley-Davidson ապրանքանիշի տակ արտադրվում է նաև Sportster սպորտային մոտոցիկլը: Այն առաջին անգամ ստեղծվել է 1957 թվականին, ունի սպորտային ղեկ, որն էլ ունի հատուկ կառավարման վահանակ և կարճ թևեր: Այդ ապրանքանիշի ժամանակակից մոդելները հարմար են քաղաքում վարելու համար: Եվ վերջապես՝ նոր սերնդի VRSC ապրանքանիշի մոտոցիկլներն ունեն ժամանակակից դիզայն և մոդիֆիկացված ունակություններ:

Այս մոդելը առաջին անգամ թողարկվել է 2001 թվականին և շատ արագ ձեռք բերել հսկայական ժողովրդականություն: Harley-Davidson ընկերությունը իր պատմության ընթացքում տարբեր վիճակներում է եղել: Համաշխարհային պատերազմների ժամանակ նա արտադրել է մոտոցիկլներ ռազմական նպատակներով: Նույնիսկ խորհրդային բանակն է ունեցել այդ մոտոցիկլների ավելի քան երկու հազար օրինակ: Այսօր Harley-Davidson- ը ոչ միայն մոտոցիկլների, այլ նաև դրա հետ կապված հարակից բոլոր տեսակի ապրանքների, սաղավարտների, ձեռնոցների, կաշվե բաճկոնների և նույնիսկ լամպերի արտադրություն է իրականացնում:

Գոյություն ունեն ասոցիացիաներ, ակումբներ, միություններ, որոնք միավորված են այդ մակնիշի մոտոցիկլետների հանդեպ սիրով. մարդիկ հավաքվում և կազմակերպում են տարբեր տոնակատարություններ և միջոցառումներ: Նման ակումբների անդամների շարքում կան շատ հայտնի և հարգված մարդիկ, որոնք սիրում են մոտոցիկլի նվիրած ազատությունը:
