Թուրքիան «խեղաթյուրում է իրականությունը», երբ խոսքն իր անցյալի մասին է։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Հունաստանի ԱԳՆ-ն՝ ի պատասխան Անկարայի հիստերիայի՝ կապված Հունաստանի նախագահ Կատերինա Սաքելարոպուլուի՝ Օսմանյան կայսրությունում պոնտացի հույների ցեղասպանության առնչությամբ հայտարարության հետ, փոխանցում է Kathimerini-ն։

«Թուրքական կողմը, ցավոք, հերթական անգամ խեղաթյուրում է իրականությունը եւ թաքցնում ոչ միայն անցյալում տեղի ունեցածը, այլեւ իր ներկայիս քաղաքականությունը, որն ամեն օր խախտում է միջազգային իրավունքը՝ լարվածություն ստեղծելով եւ թունավորելով երկու երկրների միջեւ մթնոլորտը»,-ասվում է Հունաստանի ԱԳՆ-ի հայտարարության մեջ։

Ավելի վաղ Թուրքիան հայտարարել է, որ ափսոսում է Սաքելարոպուլուի «անհիմն հայտարարությունների» համար․ «Այս պնդումները չեն փոխում այն ​​փաստը, որ հենց Հունաստանն է փորձել ներխուժել եւ գրավել Անատոլիան, եւ որ հունական բանակը բարբարոսական հանցագործություններ է իրականացրել մարդկության դեմ, հատկապես՝ Արեւմտյան Անատոլիայի անմեղ քաղաքացիների նկատմամբ»։
