Միացյալ Նահանգները հետաքրքրված է տարածաշրջանում կայուն համագործակցության և ընդհանուր ապաշրջափակման հնարավորությամբ: Այս մասին «Ամերիկայի Ձայն»-ին տված հարցազրույցում նշել է Հայաստանի անվտանգության խորհրդի քարտուղար Արմեն Գրիգորյանն՝ անդրադառնալով ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ջեյք Սալիվանի հետ հանդիպմանը: Արմեն Գրիգորյանը նշել է, որ հանդիպումը Ջեյք Սալիվանի հետ եղել է արդյունավետ: Քննարկվել է Հայաստանի ու Միացյալ Նահանգների երկկողմ օրակարգը:

«Հայաստանի ժողովրդավարացման գործընթացը կարևոր անվտանգային գործոն է: Այդ օրակարգում շատ կարևոր դեր և նշանակություն ունի Հայաստանի ժողովրդավարացման շարունակական գործընթացը: Մենք քննարկել ենք, թե ինչպես կարող ենք շարունակել այդ գործընթացում մեր համագործակցությունը: Քննարկել ենք նաև տարածաշրջանում անվտանգային միջավայրին, ինչպես նաև տարածաշրջանում համագործակցությանը և տնտեսության զարգացմանը վերաբերող հարցեր»,-նշել է Արմեն Գրիգորյանը՝ հավելելով, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները հետաքրքրված է տարածաշրջանում կայուն համագործակցության եւ ընդհանուր ապաշրջափակման հնարավորությամբ:  

Ինչ վերաբերում է Հայաստանի տարածքով այսպես կոչված «միջանցքի» մասին հաճախ հնչող հայտարարություններին, Ադրբեջանի կողմից առաջ քաշվող պահանջներին, ՀՀ անվտանգության խորհրդի քարտուղարը նշել է, որ նման հարց չկա:

«Հայաստանը որևէ ժամանակ չի քննարկել «միջանցքի» վերաբերյալ որևէ հարց. դա ֆեյք թեմա է, որը բանակցությունների սեղանին չկա, բայց կա բանակցությունների սեղանից դուրս, ինչն ազդում է բանակցային գործընթացի վրա»,-ասել է ԱԽ քարտուղարը:

Արմեն Գրիգորյանը վաշինգտոնյան այցի շրջանակներում հանդիպում է ունեցել նաեւ կոնգրեսական Ֆրենք Փալոնի հետ, մասնակցել «Atlantic Council» վերլուծական կենտրոնում անցկացված քննարկումներին: Արմեն Գրիգորյանը ներկայացրել է Հայաստանի ընկալումները տարածաշրջանային կայունացման և տարածաշրջանում համագործակցություն ստեղծելու վերաբերյալ:

Ինչ վերաբերում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ապագա կարգավիճակին, ապա ՀՀ անվտանգության խորհրդի քարտուղար Արմեն Գրիգորյանը նշել է, որ Հայաստանի իշխանությունները կարևոր են համարում ԵԱՀԿ-ի Մինսկի խմբի շրջանակներում հիմնախնդրի երկարաժամկետ լուծման ուղիների շուրջ քննարկումներ սկսելու հանգամանքը: Հարցին, թե կարո՞ղ է գտնվել խնդրի լուծում, եթե ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի նույն սկզբունքները մնան օրակարգում, որոնց մեջ են տարածքային ամբողջականության և ազգային ինքնորոշման իրավունքի սկզբունքները, և որոնք 25 տարի իրար հակասեցին ու խանգարեցին, Արմեն Գրիգորյանն ընդգծել է, որ հնարավոր է գտնել լուծում, եթե կա քաղաքական կամք:

«Այդ քաղաքական կամքը մենք ունենք և ակնկալում ենք, որ Ադրբեջանում ևս այդպիսի կամք կլինի, որպեսզի գտնվի երկարատև լուծում: Պատերազմից հետո շատ էր խոսվում, որ խնդիրը լուծված է, բայց ինչպես նշեցի, արձանագրված է ե՛ւ մեր ե՛ւ միջազգային հանրության կողմից, որ խնդիրը լուծված չէ: Մենք պիտի աշխատենք խնդրի լուծման ուղղությամբ»,-հավելել է Արմեն Գրիգորյանը:
