Ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանի հետ զրույցում մայրն ասում էր. «4.5 ամիս առաջ երեխայիս մեծ սիրով ու իր կամքով ճանապարհեցինք բանակ: Սկզբում ծառայում էր սահմանապահ զորքերի Դավիթաշենի զորամասում, իսկ երդմնակալությունից հետո տեղափոխեցին Հորադիզ, որտեղ ծառայությունը շարունակեց թիվ 7 ուղեկալում: Միշտ կապի մեջ ենք եղել, ամեն անգամ խոսելիս Գևորգը չէր դժգոհում ծառայությունից ու միշտ ասում էր. «Ամեն տղա պետք է հայրենիքի նկատմամբ իր պարտքը կատարի, տղամարդու նման ծառայի և հետ գա»: Ողբերգական դեպքը, որը տեղի ունեցավ նոյեմբերի 28-ին, ժամը 23:00-ի սահմաններում, դրանից կես ժամ առաջ խոսել ենք Գևորգի հետ: Տրամադրւթյունը բարձր էր:
Նոյեմբերի 29-ին մեզ ասում են, թե՝ տղադ մահացել է, իբրև թե ինքնասպան է եղել՝ իրեն ամրակցված ավտոմատով կրակելով ծնոտին: Լրիվ հեքիաթ: Թե՛ մենք, թե՛ քննիչները լավ գիտենք, որ երեխան մինչև սպանվելը դաժան ծեծի է ենթարկվել: Նրա մարմնի վրա եղել են բազմաթիվ հարվածների հետքեր: Քննիչ Հայկ Հայրապետյանը մեզ ասում է, թե ողջ գիշեր չենք քնել, լավ աշխատել ենք ու մի հատ կապիտան ու մի զինվոր ենք բռնել, ովքեր իբրև թե տղայիս հասցրել են ինքնասպանության: Ի՞նչ ինքնասպանության մասին է խոսքը, երբ առողջ ու կյանքը սիրող տղայիս դաժանաբար ծեծել են, իսկ հետո կրակել են՝ սարքելով, թե տղես ինքնա խփել իրան:
