Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը իսպանական El Pais թերթին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է, որ Ադրբեջանին հաջողվել է համոզել Հայաստանին ավտոմոբիլային ճանապարհի բացման անխուսափելիության մեջ (Հայաստանով դեպի Նախիջևան):

«Նախկինում Հայաստանը դեմ էր մայրուղու բացմանը, բայց մենք կարողացանք համոզել, որ դա անխուսափելի է, և նրանք համաձայն են։ Այսպիսով, կա համաձայնեցվածություն: Այժմ մենք քննարկում ենք այդ միջանցքների իրավական ռեժիմը, մասնավորապես՝ Զանգեզուրի միջանցքի, որն Ադրբեջանով անցնում է Հայաստան, իսկ հետո՝ ԱՀ Նախիջևանի Ինքնավար Հանրապետություն։ Մենք դեռ որոշ չլուծված խնդիրներ ունենք»,- ասել է Ալիևը իսպանական El Pais-ին տված հարցազրույցում:

Այնուամենայնիվ, պետության ղեկավարի խոսքով, երկու երկրներն էլ ընդունում են այն փաստը, որ միջանցքի բացումը պետք է տեղի ունենա։

«Կարծում եմ՝ երկու երկրներն էլ համաձայն են, որ դա պետք է տեղի ունենա, և, ի դեպ, նախագահ Պուտինի նախաձեռնությամբ անցյալ ամիս Սոչիում կայացած եռակողմ հանդիպման ժամանակ մենք հռչակագիր ընդունեցինք, որտեղ բացահայտ խոսվում էր հաղորդակցությունների բացման մասին։ Եվ այդպես էլ կլինի։ Ի դեպ, օդային տարածքն արդեն ակտիվացել է։ Այժմ Ադրբեջանի ավիաընկերության ինքնաթիռը, որը թռչում էր Բաքվից Նախիջևան, սկսել է անցնել Հայաստանի օդային տարածքով»,- ասել է Ալիևը։

Նա ընդգծել է, որ Բաքուն ցանկանում է բացել սահմանները Երեւանի հետ։ «Այո, մենք ցանկանում ենք բացել սահմանները։ Մինչ օրս մի քանի բանակցություններ են անցկացվել եռակողմ աշխատանքային խմբի շրջանակներում՝ Ադրբեջանի, Հայաստանի և Ռուսաստանի փոխվարչապետների գլխավորությամբ։ Այս աշխատանքային խմբի հիմնական նպատակն ու խնդիրը հաղորդակցությունների բացումն է։ Բանակցությունների մի քանի փուլեր համեմատաբար հաջող են անցել։ Այժմ ամբողջական համաձայնություն կա Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև երկաթուղային հաղորդակցության բացման վերաբերյալ, և մենք սկսել ենք ազատագրված (Ադրբեջանի կողմից օկուպացված Արցախի տարածքը - խմբ.) շրջաններում քանդված երկաթգծի կառուցումը դեպի Հայաստանի հետ սահման»,- ասել է նա։
