Թուրքիան Բելառուսի համար ամենաբարեկամական պետություններից է: Այս մասին Բելառուսի նախագահ Ալեքսանդր Լուկաշենկոն ասել է թուրքական TRT հեռուստառադիոընկերությանը տված հարցազրույցում, փոխանցում է gp.by կայքը։
Ինչ վերաբերում է արտաքին քաղաքական համագործակցությանը, ապա, Լուկաշենկոյի խոսքով, շատ հարցերում Բելառուսի ու Թուրքիայի դիրքորոշումները նման են։
«Միջազգային կազմակերպություններում խնդիրներ չկան: Մենք միմյանց աջակցում ենք: Թուրքիան Բելառուսի համար ամենաբարեկամական պետություններից է: Արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը , նրա ղեկավար Մևլութ Չավուշօղլուն աջակցում են Բելառուսին բոլոր միջազգային հարթակներում: Մենք աջակցում ենք Թուրքիային: Նման բարեկամական հարաբերությունները թուրքական պետության և թուրք ժողովրդի հետ մեզ համար շատ կարևոր են»,-ասել է Լուկաշենկոն:
Բելառուսի նախագահը նշել է, որ անձնական լավ հարաբերություններ ունի Թուրքիայի ղեկավարի հետ:
