Թե ինչո՞ւ հիմա միայն որոշվեց Գյումրիում Ավետիսյանների ընտանիքի անդամների սպանության համար գլխավոր մեղադրյալ Վալերի Պերմյակովի գործը հանձնել հայ իրավապահներին՝ «Ասպարեզ» ակումբի նախագահ Լևոն Բարսեղյանը կատակով արձագանքեց, թե երևի նոր են միայն հասկացել, որ նման պահանջ կար, նոր են միայն կարդացել հայկական կողմից տրված նամակները և գյումրեցիների պահանջին նոր են ծանոթացել:
Իսկ ավելի լուրջ, ըստ նրա, այդ պահանջի կատարումը ուղղակիորեն կապ ունի սկսած շարժման հետ: «Ռուսաստանը հասկացավ, որ իր գործողություններով, վարքով, Ադրբեջանին զենք ծախսելով, իր զինվորականների այլանդակ վարքով, գազի ու էլեկտրաէներգիայի գնով լուրջ վնաս է հասցնում իր համբավին ՀՀ-ի ժողովրդի աչքին և երևի թե այդ քայլերով փորձում է փրկել իր վարկը և ցույց տալ, որ Հայաստանին որպես գաղութ չի վերաբերվում»,- Բաղրամյան պողոտայում հավաքվածներին ասաց նա:
Չնայած դրան, ըստ Բարսեղյանի՝ դա ուշացած քայլ էր: «Ուշացած մի կոնֆետ է, որ տեսեք- տեսեք, մենք հարգում ենք ձեր որոշումը»:
