 Հայաստան-Իրան բարձրավոլտ էլեկտրահաղորդման երրորդ գծի կառուցումից հետո Հայաստանը 2019 թվականին հնարավորություն կունենա քառապատկել գազ-էլեկտրաէներգիա փոխանակման ծավալը: Նշված ծավալն ապահովելու նպատակով ՀՀ կառավարության որոշմամբ Հրազդանի ջերմաէլեկտրակայանի տարածքում կկառուցվի երկրորդ բլոկը 234 մեգավատ հզորությամբ: «Արմենպրեսս»-ի փոխանցմամբ` դեկտեմբերի 23-ին հայ-իրանական միջկառավարական հանձնաժողովի 13-րդ նիստին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց ՀՀ էներգետիկայի և բնական պաշարների նախարար Երվանդ Զախարյանը: «Գազ-էլեկտրաէներգիա փոխանակումն այսօր իրականացվում է փոքր ծավալով, քանի որ էլեկտրաէնեգիայի փոխանցման հզորություններն օգտագործվում են ամբողջությամբ, իսկ հավելյալ հզորություն մենք չունենք: Հայաստան-Իրան գազատարի հզորությունը տարեկան կազմում է 2 մլրդ 200 մլն խ որանարդ մետր: Մենք օգտագործում ենք ընդամենը 375 մլն խորանարդ մետրը, այսինքն` ընդհանուր հզորության 20 տոկոսը: Երրորդ գծի շինարարությունից հետո` 2019 թվականին հնարավորություն կունենանք քառապատկել այդ ծավալը»,- ասաց նախարարը:

Երվանդ Զախարյանի գնահատմամբ` հայ-իրանական տնտեսական հարաբերություններն անհամեմատ ցածր են քաղաքական հարաբերությունների նախանշած սանդղակից, իսկ տնտեսական համագործակցության ներուժն ամբողջովին չի օգտագործվում: Նրա տեղեկացմամբ` Հայաստան-Իրան բարձրավոլտ լարման երրորդ հոսանքագծի շինարարությունը ավարտին կհասցվի 2018 թվականին: «Սկսվել են սահմանամերձ Մեղրի և Ագարակ համայնքների գազաֆիկացման աշխատանքները, որի ֆինանասավորման մի փոքր մասը մնացել է 2016 թվականին: Այն իրականացվում է ԻԻՀ դրամաշնորհի հաշվին, որն ամբողջությամբ նախատեսվում է ավ արտել 2016 թվականի առաջին կիսամյակում»,- նշեց նախարարը:

Հայ-իրանական միջկառավարական հանձնաժողովի 13-րդ նիստին մասնակցելու համար Երևան է ժամանել ԻԻՀ պատվիրակությունը` հանձնաժողովի իրանական կողմի համանախագահ, Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության էներգետիկայի նախարար պարոն Համիդ Չիթչիանի գլխավորությամբ: Իրանական պատվիրակության կազմում ընդգրկված են տնտեսության տարբեր ոլորտները ներկայացնող պաշտոնյաներ և մասնագետներ:

Հայ-իրանական միջկառավարական հանձնաժողովի նիստի օրակարգում ընդգրկված հարցերը բազմազան էին և վերաբերում էին էներգետիկայի, տրանսպորտի և կապի, բնապահպանության, առողջապահության, գյուղատնտեսության, կրթության, մշակույթի, տարածաշրջանային  համագործակցության և բազմաթիվ այլ ոլորտներին:
