1988 թվականի ավերիչ երկրաշարժի հազարավոր անմեղ զոհերն ու մեր երկրին բաժին հասած դառնությունները դեռ արթուն են մեր սրտերում:
Ինչպես ժողովուրդն է ասում ՝ «երկիրը քանդվեց», և այո՛, մի քանի վայրկյանում փոշիացավ տասնամյակների կառուցածն ու ստեղծածը՝ Գյումրին, Սպիտակը, Վանաձորը և բազմաթիվ այլ բնակավայրեր հողին հավասարվեցին:
1988-ից ի վեր մեր աշխատասեր ժողովուրդը կառուցում և նորոգում է քանդվածը, ավերվածը:
Մեր երկրի, մեր ժողովրդի համար կրկին դժվարին ժամանակներ են, սակայն մենք շարունակում ենք ապրել և ապրեցնել, ուրախանալ և ուրախացնել, կրկին արարել ու ստեղծել, ինչպես դա միասնաբար արեցինք 1988-ին և դրանից հետո: Սա՛ է մեր՝ որպես ազգի հարատևության բանալին:
