Դեկտեմբերի 5-ին կայացած ՏԻՄ ընտրությունների արդյունքներն առանձնապես հուսադրող չէին իշխող «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» կուսակցության համար, սակայն Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ու իր թիմակիցները նոր մեթոդներով են փորձում իրենց կողմը թեքել ծանրության նժարը և խլել համայնքապետերի պաշտոնները։

Վայոց ձորի Վայք համայնքում էլ կարող է կատարվել Մեղրիի իրադարձությունները, սակայն այս անգամ՝ հակառակ ուղղությամբ։ Ընտրությունների արդյունքներով առավելագույն թվով ձայներ ստացել է «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» կուսակցությունը՝ 36․60 տոկոս, «Հանրապետություն» կուսակցությունը՝ 31․90 տոկոս, «Ազատական» կուսակցությունը՝ 17.52 տոկոս, իսկ «Հայրենիք»-ը՝ 13․96 տոկոս: Արդյունքում ՔՊ-ն և «Հանրապետությունը» կստանան 5-ական մանդատ, «Ազատական» կուսակցությունը՝ 3, իսկ «Հայրենիք»-ը` 2 մանդատներ։ Քաղաքապետի պաշտոնը ստանալու համար թե՛ «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագրին», թե՛ «Հանրապետությանը» հարկավոր է կոալիցիա կազմել «Ազատական» կուսակցության ներկայացուցչի հետ, որպեսզի 8 մանդատով հնարավոր լինի մեծամասնություն ստանալ ավագանու կազմում։ Փաշինյանական իշխանությունն, իհարկե, թույլ չի տալու, որ իր ձեռքից տանեն այդ պաշտոնը, և բնավ էլ ոչ մաքուր մեթոդներով, ճնշումներով ու խոստումներով փորձելու է իր կողմը գրավել Սամվել Բաբայանի կուսակցին։

Հոկտեմբերի 17-ի ընտրություններից հետո Մեղրիում «Ազատական» կուսակցության ներկայացուցիչը կարողացավ դիմագրավել տարատեսակ ճնշումներին, հրաժարվեց ենթարկվել Սամվել Բաբայանի պահանջներին և կոալիցիոն հուշագիր ստորագրեց «Հանրապետություն» կուսակցության հետ։ Վայքում թերևս, հակառակ պատկերը լինի։ «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» կուսակցության համայնքապետի թեկնածու, ժամանակին կաֆել-մետլախի հափշտակության մեջ մեղադրվող Մխիթար Մաթևոսյանը հայտնել է, որ մտադիր են կոալիցիա ձևավորել «Ազատական» կուսակցության հետ։

«Հանրապետություն» կուսակցության համայնքապետի թեկնածու Կառլեն Մինասյանն էլ նշել է, թե չի կարողանում հավատալ, որ «Ազատական»-ը՝ ի դեմս Բաբայան Սիմոնի, կոալիցիա կկազմի ՔՊ-ի հետ։ «Ազատական» կուսակցության ցուցակը գլխավորող Սիմոն Բաբայանը արդեն իսկ ակնարկել է, թե հակված են համագործակցել «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագրի» հետ։ Տարօրինակն այս ամենում այն է, որ Սիմոն Բաբայանը տակավին ամիսներ առաջ՝ խորհրդարանական արտահերթ ընտրություններին սատարում էր ընդդիմադիր «Հայաստան» դաշինքին։ Նա «Հայաստան» խմբակցության քարտուղար, ՀՅԴ անդամ Արծվիկ Մինասյանի բաջանաղն է։ Հայտնի չէ՝ Փաշինյանի իշխանությունն է խոստումներ տվել կամ ճնշել, թե՞ Սամվել Բաբայանն է պարտադրել իր թեկնածուներին՝ անցնել իշխանության թրի տակով։ Ամեն դեպքում, Արծվիկ Մինասյանն, օրինակ, մտածելու բան ունի իր բաջանաղի դրսևորած կեցվածքի պատճառով։
