Past.am-ը զրուցել է «Նոր ժամանակներ» կուսակցության նախագահ Արամ Կարապետյանի հետ: Անդրադառնալով ՀԱՊԿ գագաթաժողովում հնչեցված Սերժ Սարգսյանի ելույթին՝ Արամ Կարապետյանն ասաց, որ ելույթը բավականին լավ էր գրված, բայց ուշացած էր: «Ելույթը ՀԱՊԿ-ի շրջանակներում և դրանից դուրս չի ունենա որևէ աշխարհաքաղաքական ազդեցություն»,- ավելացրեց մեր զրուցակիցը: Խոսելով Սարգսյան-Ալիև հանդիպման մասին՝ պարոն Կարապետյանը կարծիք հայտնեց, որ հանդիպումը պետք էր, քանի որ սահմանային իրավիճակը շատ լարված էր:

Ըստ Կարապետյանի՝ պարզ է, որ հանդիպումը ոչինչ չտվեց, բայց դա չի նշանակում, որ այն պետք է չլիներ: «Ավելի լավ է դիվանագիտական հանդիպումներ, քան սահմանների վրա լարվածություն: Ադրբեջանն այս ամենի միջոցով քաղաքական խնդիրներ է փորձում լուծել, մեզ համար խնդիրը ռազմական տիրույթում է: Մեր տղաների կորուստի խնդիրն էլ կա: Մենք սահմանի վրա քաղաքական հարց լուծելու չունենք հիմա: Ստատուս քվոն հիմա մեզ ձեռք է տալիս: Ադրբեջանը փորձում է սադրել թե՛ Հայաստանի ներքաղաքական իրավիճակը, թե՛ աշխարհաքաղաքական: Կստացվի՞, իմ տեսակետով՝ ոչ: Դա չի բերի իրենց ակնկալած փոփոխություններին, որ աշխարհը մեզ ստիպի հանձնել ազատագրված տարածքներն առանց ստատուսի: Կարծում եմ՝ Ադրբեջանն էլ հետագայում հստակ կհասկանա, որ խնդիրը համապարփակ լուծում է պահանջում: Որևէ ադեկվատ հայ չի կարող համաձայնել Ադրբեջանի պայմաններին: Դա ուղղակի անհնար է: Ի՞նչ է նշանակում օկուպացված տարածքներն ազատագրել, հետո խոսել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի կարգավիճակի մասին, այն էլ Ադրբեջանի տարածքային ամբողջականության մեջ հաշվի առնելով: Դա քաղաքականություն չէ, դա, շատ կներեք, կացնային մի բան է: Լայնածավալ պատերազմի սպասելիքներ իզուր ունի Ադրբեջանը»,- նշեց Ա. Կարապետյանը:

Մեր հարցին՝ բայց ունի՞ այդ սպասելիքները, Արամ Կարապետյանը պատասխանեց.

«Հաշվի առնելով տարածաշրջանային խնդիրները՝ կարծում եմ, որ ունի: Իհարկե, ճիշտ եք, որ ինքնուրույն այդպիսի սպասելիքներ կարող է և չունենալ, բայց կարող են իրենց վերլուծաբանները նման բան հաշվարկել, բայց դա անհնար սցենար է: Մնում է մեկ բան՝ հստակ տանել դիվանագիտական աշխատանք, որպեսզի ստանանք փոխզիջումներ: Պետք է հարցը լուծվի փոխզիջումներով, բայց առաջարկներ կան, որոնք ուղղակի ծիծաղելի են»:
