Իշխանությունը Թալինում որոշել է բոլոր զենքերը գործի դնել ՔՊ-ի թեկնածու՝ Թալինի քաղաքապետի ԺՊ Տավրոս Սափեյանի հաղթանակի համար։ Դրա համար անգամ վերջերս նշանակված մարզպետ Ռազմիկ Պետրոսյանն է իր հաշվին եռօրյա արձակուրդ վերցրել, որ Տավրոսի քարոզչությամբ ինտենսիվ զբաղվի։ Թեեւ մինչեւ արձակուրդն էլ նա քողարկված քարոզչություն էր անում իր մտերիմ Սափեյանների ներկայացուցչի համար։
Շաբաթ օրը, օրինակ, այցելել է Մաստարայի միջնակարգ դպրոց եւ այնտեղ թեկնածուի գովքն է արել։ Տավրոս Սափեյանին, հիշեցնենք, «համայնքը դեմ է», թալինցիները չեն ուզում, որ աշնակցի երիտասարդն իրենց կառավարի, իսկ Սափեյանն էլ թեպետ օգոստոսից ԺՊ է, սակայն չի կարողանում նորմալ շփվել բնակիչների հետ, հարաբերություններ կառուցել։ Ինչո՞ւ․ հետաքրքրվեցինք մի թալինցուց։ «Խոսել չգիտի»,- կատակեց մեր աղբյուրը եւ ավելացրեց, որ նորանշանակ մարզպետն էլ է հասկանում, որ թեկնածուի ամեն ելույթը գլխացավանքի առիթ է դառնալու, ուստի ընտրողներին ներկայացնելով իրենց թեկնածուին՝ նրա փոխարեն ինքն է խոսում եւ վերջում ավելացնում․ «Մեր թեկնածուն խոսել չի սիրում․ գործի մարդ ա»։
