INTERNATIONAL NEWSԱֆղանստանը հումանիտար աղետի շեմին է։ Այս երկրում ավելի քան 1 միլիոն երեխա սովամահության շեմին է, ՄԱԿ-ի լրատվական ծառայությանը տված հարցազրույցում ասել է Աֆղանստանի ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ի հաղորդակցության բաժնի ղեկավար Սամանթա Մորթը։
«Այսօր մոտ 22,8 միլիոն մարդ ողջ երկրում բախվում է պարենային անապահովության հետ: Սա Աֆղանստանի 38 միլիոն բնակիչների մեծ մասն է: Շատ աֆղանցիներ չունեն մատչելի կամ հագեցնող սնունդ: Աֆղան երեխաները մանկություն չունեն։ Եվ սա ոչ միայն կյանքի մասին է, այլ նաև այն մասին, թե ինչպես գոյատևել մինչև հաջորդ օրը», - ասել է Մորթը:
ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ի ներկայացուցիչը հիշեցրել է մոտեցող ցուրտ ձմռան ամիսների մասին, և որ ձյունը կդադարեցնի լեռնային գյուղական շատ շրջանների հետ հաղորդակցությունը:
«Մենք ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ-ում չափազանց անհանգստացած ենք իրավիճակով, քանի որ գիտենք, որ մոտավորապես 3,2 միլիոն երեխա խիստ թերսնված է, և 1,1 միլիոն երեխա սովամահության շեմին է: Նրանք չեն գոյատևի, եթե մենք չկարողանանք նրանց անհրաժեշտ բուժում ապահովել», - նախազգուշացրել է Սամանթա Մորթը։
«Այժմ քաղաքական սակարկությունների ժամանակը չէ: Աֆղանստանում մարդիկ մահանում են, և նրանք մեր աջակցության կարիքն ունեն: Մարդասիրական օգնությունը մարդկային համերաշխության դրսևորում է»,- ասել է ՄԱԿ-ի մանկական հիմնադրամի ներկայացուցիչը:
