 ՖԻՖԱ-ի նախագահ Զեպ Բլատերը, ով ֆուտբոլային գործունեությունից հեռացվել է 8 տարով, հայտարարել է, որ իր կարիերան մոտեցել է ավարտին: «Ես ավարտել եմ իմ աշխատանքը ֆուտբոլում: Ես կորցրել եմ հավատը մեր կազմակերպության նկատմամբ մայիսի 27-ից՝ ամերիկյան իշխանությունների միջամտությունից հետո: Եվ հենց այդ օրը ՖԻՖԱ-ն ներկայացվել է որպես խուլիգանական կազմակերպություն: Իմ և Պլատինիի որակազրկումը «նոնսենս» է: Համաձայն շվեյցարական օրենսդրության, որպեսզի քեզ որակազրկեն 8 տարով, պետք է սպանություն կատարած լինես կամ  բանկ թալանած»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ The Wall Street Journal-ին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է Բլատերը:  

ՖԻՖԱ-ի նախագահ Զեպ Բլատերը և ՈՒԵՖԱ-ի նախագահ Միշել Պլատինին 8 տարովորակազրկվել են ֆուտբոլային գործունեություն իրականացնելու իրավունքից: Բլատերի և Պլատինիի վստահեցումները գումարային փոխանցում կատարելուբանավոր պայմանավորվածության վերաբերյալ հավաստի չեն համարվել և մերժվելեն: Բլատերը տուգանվել< span> է 50 հազար շվեյցարական ֆրանկով, իսկ Պլատինին՝80 հազար:

Հոկտեմբերի սկզբին երկու ֆունկցիոներները 90 օրով զրկվել էին ֆուտբոլայինգործունեությունից՝ կոռուպցիայի մեջ կասկածվելու պատճառով: 2011 թվականինՊլատինին Բլատերից ստացել է 2 մլն շվեյցարական ֆրանկ: Պլատինին վստահեցրելէ, որ այդ գումարը նա ստացել է 1999-2002 թվականներին ՖԻՖԱ-ի համարգործունեություն ծավալելու բանավոր պայմանավորվածության արդյունքում: Պլատինիի և Բլատերի նկատմամբ գործ է հարուցվել նոյեմբերի վերջին: Տեղեկացվում էրնաև, որ երկուսն էլ կարող են որակազրկվել ցմահ:
