Բավարիայի հարավ-արեւմուտքում գտնվող Աուգսբուրգ քաղաքում հնագետները հռոմեական մետաղադրամների խոշոր գանձեր են հայտնաբերել: 1-ին եւ 2-րդ դարերի 5600 արծաթե դինարը հայտնաբերվել է Օբերհաուզենում՝ քաղաքի ամենահին հատվածում, նոր բնակելի շենքերի կառուցման համար հատկացված տարածքում։ Այս մասին գրում է Around the world ճանաչողական պորտալը՝ վկայակոչելով The History Blog-ը:

Մետաղադրամները դրոշմվել են հռոմեական մի քանի կայսրերի օրոք՝ Ներոնից (մ.թ. 54-68 թթ.) մինչեւ Սեպտիմիուս Սեւերոս (193-211):

Հին Բավարիայի Աուգսբուրգ քաղաքը, որը գտնվում է Մյունխենի մոտ, հիմնադրվել է հին հռոմեական կայսր Օգոստոսի հրամանով մ.թ.ա. 15-ին` որպես հռոմեական ռազմական ճամբար։ Արդեն մ.թ. 10-ին ժամանակավոր ճամբարն ամրոցի էր վերածվել, որը կարող էր տեղավորել 3000 զինվորի: Հետագայում քաղաքը հռոմեական Ռեզիա նահանգի կենտրոնը դարձավ եւ հռոմեական տիրապետության հաջորդ 400 տարիների ընթացքում ակտիվորեն զարգացավ եւ ծաղկում ապրեց:

Արծաթե մետաղադրամները հայտնաբերվել են Բավարիայի հնագույն հռոմեական ճամբարի մոտ՝ Վերտախ գետի հին հունի խիճում։ Հնագետները ենթադրում են, որ գանձն ի սկզբանե թաքնված է եղել Օգոստոս Վինդելիկումից դուրս. այդպես էին հռոմեացիներն էին կոչում Աուգսբուրգը: Հավանաբար, մի քանի դար անց գաղտնարանը հեղեղվել էր Վերտաչ գետի վարարման ժամանակ։

Հետազոտողները նշում են, որ հայտնաբերված գումարը բավականին մեծ է։ 3-րդ դարի սկզբին հասարակ լեգեոները տարեկան 375-ից 500 դինար էր վաստակում։ 11-15 տարում նա կարող էր վաստակել 5600 դինար։

Մետաղադրամներից բացի, հնագետները նաեւ հռոմեական հարյուրավոր այլ արտեֆակտեր են  հայտնաբերել, այդ թվում՝ զենքեր, գործիքներ, զարդեր եւ սպասք։ Այդ բոլոր իրերը, ըստ հետազոտողների, մ.թ.ա 1-ին դարում գտնվել են հռոմեական ռազմական ճամբարի տարածքում։
