INTERNATIONAL NEWSՀեյդար եւ Իլհամ Ալիեւները ոչ մի համակրանք չէին տածում իսլամի հանդեպ եւ ի սկզբանե գնահատում էին Իսրայելի հետ երկկողմ հարաբերությունները։ Այս մասին Jerusalem Post-ից Հիլ Հոֆմանին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է «Մոսադ»-ի նախկին բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյա, ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ուզի Արադը։
«Մենք որոշեցինք լիարժեք հարաբերություններ հաստատել նրանց (Ադրբեջանի - խմբ.) հետ 1991 թվականին, երբ նրանք վերականգնեցին իրենց անկախությունը։ Ինչպես գիտեք, Իսրայելն առաջին պետություններից էր, որը դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններ հաստատեց Ադրբեջանի հետ 1992 թվականի ապրիլի 7-ին։ Պետք է ասեմ, որ մահմեդական երկրի հետ դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններ, ապա շատ ավելին հաստատելն այնքան էլ հեշտ չէ։ Ադրբեջանցիները ոչ միայն հիմնականում մահմեդական են, այլեւ երկիրը Իրանի հարեւանն է։ Բայց պատմության լավ կողմն այն է, որ Ադրբեջանի բարձրաստիճան պետական պաշտոնյաները, հատկապես Հեյդար եւ Իլհամ Ալիեւները, իսլամի հանդեպ ոչ մի համակրանք չէին տածում եւ ի սկզբանե գնահատում էին Իսրայելի հետ երկկողմ հարաբերությունները:
Ես վեցամսյա հատուկ առաքելությամբ Բաքվում Իսրայելի դեսպանատանն էի։ Իլհամ Ալիեւի դուստրը՝ Լեյլան, որի հետ ես անձամբ ծանոթ եմ, հրեա ընկեր ուներ՝ Էմին Աղալարովը, ում հետ նա հետագայում ամուսնացավ։ Նրա մորն ասել էին, որ լավ կլինի, եթե որդին հրապարակավ չհայտարարի, որ հրեա է։ Նա շատ լավ հարաբերություններ ուներ Ջարեդ Քուշների հետ։ Անկեղծ ասած, եթե մեր րաբունիները թույլ տային Լեյլային հուդդայականություն ընդունել, նա դա պատվով կաներ։
Բայց կարծում եմ, որ մենք հենց այնտեղ ենք, որտեղ ուզում ենք լինել, եւ որ մեր նպատակների մեծ մասին հասել ենք, իսկ մնացածին մոտ ապագայում կհասնենք»,- ասել է Արադը՝ հավելելով, որ 2017 թվականից աշխատում է արձակուրդները Բաքվում անցկացնել։
