ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահներն անցյալ շաբաթվա ընթացքում այցելել են տարածաշրջան: Ամերիկացի համանախագահ Ջեյմս Ուորլիքը Բաքվում հարցազրույց է տվել ադրբեջանական Turan գործակալությանը:
«Ես այստեղ եմ մյուս համանախագահների հետ: Մեզ հետ է նաև ԵԱՀԿ գործող նախագահի անձնական ներկայացուցիչ Անջեյ Կասպշիկը: Ես եկել եմ Երևանից, որտեղ հանդիպել եմ Հայաստանի նախագահի ու արտգործնախարարի, նաև տարբեր խորհրդարանական հանձնաժողովների, քաղաքացիական հասարակության ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Նրանց թվում կային երիիտասարդներ, որոնք կապ չունեին կառավարության հետ: Գիտեք, ես կցանկանայի, որ այդ զրույցներին ներկա լինեն մարդիկ նաև Ադրբեջանից, քանի որ երիտասարդների զրույցներն էապես տարբերվում են այն հեռանկարից, որը ես լսել եմ ԱԳՆ-ում», -ասել է Ուորլիքը:
Հարցին, թե ի՞նչ թեմաներ են քննարկել Երևանում ու Բաքվում, Ուորլիքը նշել է, որ խոսվել է երկու երկրների նախագահների հանդիպման մասին:
«Երկու նախագահներն էլ ասացին, որ ցանկանում են հանդիպել, նրանք համաձայն են ինտենսիվացնել երկխոսությունը, և մենք պետք է օգնենք նրանց այդ հարցում: Այնպես անել, որ հաջորդ հանդիպումն արդյունավետ լինի»,-ասել է դիվանագետը:
Պատասխանելով հարցին, թե ի՞նչ տեղի կունենա, եթե Բաքուն որոշի պատերազմ սկսել, Ուորլիքը նշել է, որ դա վատագույն տարբերակը կլիներ:
«Դա կհանգեցներ հակամարտության ընդլայնման ու լարվածության սրման, որին կներքաշվեն նաև այլ կողմեր, ինչը կխաթարի մեր միջնորդական առաքելությունը»,-ասել է նա:
Խոսելով այն մասին, թե հակամարտության կարգավորմանն ավելի մոտ են հիմա՞, թե՞ հինգ տարի առաջ, Ուորլիքն ասել է, որ խաղաղ կարգավորման հնարավորություն բանակցային գործընթացի ընթացքում եղել է մի քանի անգամ և ափսոսանք է հայտնել, որ այդ հնարավորությունները չեն օգտագործվել:
«Նոր հնարավորություն կա նաև հիմա, և այն պետք է օգտագործել: Քաղաքական կամքի առկայության դեպքում հակամարտությունը լուծելի է: Դրա այլընտրանքը պատերազմը կլիներ, սակայն չեմ կարծում, որ ազգերը դա կցանկանան: Ես շատ եմ շփվել նախագահներ Սարգսյանի ու Ալիևի հետ, և կարող եմ ասել, որ նրանք պատերազմ չեն ուզում, խաղաղ կարգավորում են ուզում, և ահա, թե ինչու ենք մենք նրանց օգնում»,-ասել է նա։
