Արմեն Սարգսյանը զրուցել է Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագաժառանգի հետ

Հայաստանի Հանրապետության նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը նորանկախ Հայաստանի պատմության մեջ առաջին այցն է կատարել արաբական և իսլամական աշխարհի առանցքային երկրներից մեկը՝ Սաուդյան Արաբիա:
Նախագահի աշխատակազմից NEWS.am-ին հայտնում են, որ հայ-արաբական և մասնավորապես Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն-Սաուդյան Արաբիա հարաբերությունների պատմության մեջ բացառիկ նշանակություն ունեցող այդ այցի շրջանակում Հայաստանի նախագահը այցելել է «Ապագա ներդրումային նախաձեռնություն» (Future investment initiative) 5-րդ համաժողով։
Համաժողովին մասնակցել են բազմաթիվ երկրների ղեկավարներ, կառավարությունների անդամներ, հայտնի անդրազգային և համաշխարհային խոշոր ընկերությունների ղեկավարներ ու գործարարներ:
Նախագահ Սարգսյանը Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագաժառանգ Մուհամեդ բին Սալմանի հետ ներկա է եղել համաժողովի բացման արարողությանը։
Հայաստանի նախագահը և Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագաժառանգը զրուցել են երկու երկրների միջև հարաբերությունները զարգացնելու անհրաժեշտության և դրանց ապագայի շուրջ։ Նշվել է, որ երկու ժողովուրդների միջև պատմական հարուստ առնչությունները լավ հիմք են ապագային միտված միջպետական հարաբերություններ կառուցելու համար:
