Շախմատի Երևան Օփեն մրցաշարի խաղային 5-րդ օրը բաժանված էր 2 մասի. նախ, առավոտյան դասական պարտիայի շրջանակում կայացավ 5-րդ տուրը, իսկ երեկոյան հատվածն ամենաթեժն էր:
Առաջին անգամ Երևան Օփենը ընդմիջվեց Բլից մրցաշարով, որտեղ հավաքվել էր հայկական շախմատի աստղաբույլը: Հայկ Մարտիրոսյան, Ռոբերտ Հովհաննիսյան, Շանթ Սարգսյան, Մամիկոն Ղարիբյան, Արթուր Դավթյան, Կանանց Հայաստանի չեմպիոն Սուսաննա Գաբոյան, Աննա Սարգսյան, Մարիա Գևորգյան, Վրացական շախմատից Գիգա Քուբարաձեն, որը փայլում է բլից մրցաշարերում և այլոք: 9 բլից պարտիա. յուրաքանչյուրին 3-ական րոպե՝ ամեն քայլին 2 վայրկյան հավելումով: Մոտ 3 ժամ տևած պայքարի արդյունքում հաղթողի կոչումը նվաճեց հնդիկ Պրագնանանդհա, նույնքան միավորով 2-րդ տեղը գրավեց կրկին հնդիկ Հարշա Բարատակոտին, իսկ եռյակը կրկին 7.5 միավորով եզրափակեց Հայաստանի հավաքականի անդամ Հայկ Մարտիրոսյանը:
7 միավոր վաստակեց Շանթ Սարգսյանը: 7 միավոր վաստակեց նաև Հովհաննես Գաբուզյանը: Մրցաշարի առաջին համար Ռոբերտ Հովհաննիսյանը բավարարվեց 6 միավորով: Նույնքան միավոր վաստակեցին նաև Մամիկոն Ղարիբյանն ու Դավիթ Շահինյանը: Կանանց Հայաստանի հավաքականի անդամներ Աննա Սարգսյանն ու Սուսաննա Գաբոյանը վաստակեցին համապատասխանաբար 4 և 4.5 միավոր, Մարիա Գևորգյանը մեկ տուր բաց թողնելով 4 միավոր գրանցեց:
