ԵՄ. Facebook-ի խափանումը ցույց տվեց շուկայում մեծ թվով խաղացողների անհրաժեշտությունը
SOCIETYFacebook-ի աշխատանքում զանգվածային ձախողումը ցույց տվեց, թե ինչ հետեւանքներ կարող ենք ակնկալել մի քանի խոշոր խաղացողներից, եւ ընդգծեց մրցակիցների թվի ավելացման անհրաժեշտությունը, հայտարարել է ԵՄ հակամենաշնորհային կարգավորման ղեկավար Մարգրետ Վեստագերը։
Խափանման պատճառով 3,5 միլիարդ օգտվող չի կարողացել մուտք գործել սոցիալական ցանցեր եւ հաղորդագրությունների փոխանակման ծառայություններ` WhatsApp, Instagram եւ Messenger:
Երկուշաբթի օրը շատ օգտվողներ անցել են մրցակից հավելվածներին, ինչպիսիք են Twitter-ը եւ TikTok-ը: Facebook-ի մի քանի աշխատակիցներ, որոնք հրաժարվել են ներկայանալ, Reuters-ին ասել են, թե կարծում են, որ անջատումը տեղի է ունեցել ինտերնետային թրաֆիկը համակարգերին ուղղորդելու ներքին սխալի պատճառով:
Միջադեպը ցույց տվեց մրցակցության ուժեղացման անհրաժեշտությունը, գրել է Վեստագերը Twitter-ում: «Մենք այլընտրանքների եւ ընտրության կարիք ունենք տեխնոլոգիական շուկայում, եւ չպետք է ապավինել մի քանի խոշոր խաղացողների, ովքեր էլ որ նրանք լինեն»,- գրել է նա:
Անցյալ տարի Վեստագերն առաջարկել էր կանոնների նախագիծ, որը հայտնի է որպես Թվային շուկաների մասին օրենք (DMA), որը սահմանում է կանոնների ցուցակ՝ Amazon-ի, Apple-ի, Facebook-ի եւ Google-ի համար, որոնք, ըստ էության, կստիպեն նրանց փոխել իրենց հիմնական բիզնես-մոդելը, որպեսզի բարձրացնեն մրցակցությունը:
Օրենսդիր մարմիններն ու ԵՄ երկրներն այժմ քննարկում են իրենց սեփական առաջարկները, եւ նրանք պետք է համաձայնեցնեն երեք նախագիծ՝ նախքան տեխնիկական կանոններն ուժի մեջ կմտնեն:
