ՀՀ երկրորդ նախագահ ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը ուղերձ է հղել Հայաստանի անկախության 30-ամյակի առթիվ:

Ուղերձում ասվում է. «Թանկագին հարենակիցներ,

Այսօր լրանում է մեր անկախության երեսուն տարին, սակայն չկա այն ուրախությունը, որ պետք է զգայինք այս նշանակալի օրը։ Մենք այս տոնը առաջին անգամ ենք դիմավորում ծրագրված ծանր պարտությունից, տարածքային կորուստներից, մեր ինքնիշխանությունը մասնակի կորցնելուց և հազարավոր ճակատագրերի խեղվելուց հետո։

Հայաստանի՝ իբրև անկախ պետության կայացումը, անքակտելիորեն կապված էր Արցախյան մեր հաղթանակի հետ, սնուցվում էր այդ հերոսական հաղթանակով, որը հայկական ինքնության մաս էր դարձել։ Ընդամենը մեկ տարի առաջ մենք հպարտանում էինք մեր զինված ուժերով և Հարավային Կովկասում աշխարհաքաղաքական դասավորվածության էական գործոն էինք:

Սակայն այսօր մենք ոչ միայն դադարել ենք Արցախի անվտանգության երաշխավորը լինելուց, այլ նաև ի վիճակի չենք պաշտպանել սեփական ինքնիշխանությունը և մեր քաղաքացիներին։ Մենք կորցրեցինք այն, ինչով հպարտանում էինք վերջին երեսուն տարիներին, և ինչը երկրին ուժ և աշխարհաքաղաքական արժեք էր տալիս։

Պետությունները կառուցվում են ազգային վերելքի շնորհիվ և հենվում ազգային միասնության վրա։ Պարտությունը և դա խորհրդանշող իշխանությունները չեն կարող ներշնչանքի և արարման աղբյուր լինել։

Այսօր, շնորհավորելով Անկախության Տոնը, ուզում եմ հույս և վստահություն հայտնել, որ ազգն իր մեջ ուժ կգտնի ձերբազատվելու այն իշխանությունից, որն ազգային աղետի պատճառ դարձավ։ Ուժեղ և ծաղկող Հայաստան կառուցելու այլ ճանապարհ պարզապես չկա։
