85 տարեկան հասակում 2021թ-ի սեպտեմբերի 17-ին կյանքից հեռացել է ՀՀ գիտությունների ազգային ակադեմիայի ակադեմիկոս, Երևանի պետական համալսարանի Գուրգեն Սահակյանի անվան տեսական ֆիզիկայի ամբիոնի պատվավոր վարիչ, ֆիզիկամաթեմատիկական գիտությունների դոկտոր, պրոֆեսոր Էդվարդ Վարդանի Չուբարյանը, տեղեկացնում են ԳԱԱ-ից: 

«ՀՀ գիտությունների ազգային ակադեմիայի գիտական կոլեկտիվը սգում է ակադեմիկոս Էդվարդ Չուբարյանի մահը և ցավակցում նրա հարազատներին, բարեկամներին ու գործընկերներին»,-նշված է հաղորդագրության մեջ:

Էդվարդ Չուբարյանի հոգեհանգիստը տեղի կունենա Կոնդի Սուրբ Հովհաննես եկեղեցում սեպտեմբերի 22-ին՝ ժամը 17։00-20։00-ին։

Էդվարդ Չուբարյանը ծնվել է 1936թ-ի մայիսի 5-ին Սպիտակ քաղաքում: 1958 թ-ին ավարտել է Երևանի պետական համալսարանը, 1973 թ-ին ստացել է ֆիզիկամաթեմատիկական գիտությունների դոկտորի կոչում, 1975 թ-ին՝ պրոֆեսորի: 1996 թ-ին ընտրվել է ՀՀ ԳԱԱ ակադեմիկոս: 1991-2006թթ-ին աշխատել է ԵՊՀ-ի ուսումնական աշխատանքների գծով պրոռեկտոր, իսկ 2006-2013թթ-ին՝ ԵՊՀ Գուրգեն Սահակյանի անվան տեսական ֆիզիկայի ամբիոնի վարիչ: 2013թ-ից նույն ամբիոնի պատվավոր վարիչն էր:

Էդվարդ Չուբարյանի գիտական հետազոտությունների բնագավառն ընդգրկում էր գրավիտացիայի Էյնշտեյնի և այլընտրանքային տեսությունները, գերխիտ երկնային մարմինների ֆիզիկան, սպիտակ թզուկների և նեյտրոնային աստղերի կառուցվածքը:

Էդվարդ Չուբարյանն արժանացել է ՀՍՍՀ Լենինյան Կոմերիտմիության մրցանակի «Առանցքահամաչափ դաշտերը Էյնշտեյնի գրավիտացիոն տեսությունում» աշխատանքի համար, Խաչատուր Աբովյանի մեդալի, ԵՊՀ-ի ոսկե մեդալի, Ֆ. Նանսենի մեդալի և ՀՀ Գիտության վաստակավոր գործիչ կոչման:
