«2001 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 11-ի ահաբեկչության 20-րդ տարելիցի օրը մենք հիշում ենք 2977 զոհերին եւ պատվում նրանց, ովքեր ռիսկի դիմեցին եւ իրենց կյանքը տվեցին։ Ինչպես մենք համոզվեցինք ահաբեկչությունից հետո, միասնականությունը մեր հզորագույն ուժն է։ Դա այն է, ինչը մեզ դարձնում է այնպիսին, ինչպիսին մենք կանք, եւ մենք չպետք է մոռանանք այդ մասին։ Այդ օրվանից մենք տեսանք հերոսություն, այնտեղ, որտեղ պետք է այն սպասել, եւ այնտեղ, որտեղ չէինք սպասում։Մենք տեսանք նաեւ ազգային միասնականության իրական զգացում, տոկունություն, վերականգնվելու ունակություն։ Մենք դարձանք վկան մարդկային մութ ուժերի, վախի եւ ցասումի, վիրավորանքի եւ բռնության, խաղաղ կրոնի իրական եւ հավատարիմ հետեւորդների։ Մենք իմացանք, որ միասնականություն կա, տեսանք Ամերիկան իր լավագույն դրսեւորմամբ»,-նշել է Սպիտակ տան ղեկավարը։
