Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը կամ ստախոս է, կամ չի տիրապետում իրավիճակին և իր բանակն իրեն չի ենթարկվում: Դեկտեմբերի 21-ին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նման տեսակետ արտահայտեց ՀՀԿ խմբակցության ղեկավար Վահրամ Բաղդասարյանը: Նա նշեց, որ դեկտեմբերի 19-ին Բեռնում Հայաստանի նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի և Իլհամ Ալիևի հանդիպումից առաջ էլ հայկական կողմը դրական ակնկալիքներ չուներ: «Ադրբեջանի նախագահը տարիներ շարո ւնակ կոչ է անում խաղաղ բանակցությունների և ինքն էլ դրժում է իր խոստումը: Այստեղից երկու եզրահանգում կարելի է անել. կամ Իլհամ Ալիևը ստախոս է, կամ չի տիրապետում իրավիճակին և իր բանակն իրեն չի ենթարկվում: Այլապես, հանդիպումներից առաջ նման խախտումներն ու դիվերսիաները համակարգային չէին լինի»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` ասաց Վահրամ Բաղդասարյանը:
Պատգամավորը նկատեց, որ եթե հայկական կողմը հրաժարվեր այդ հանդիպմանը մասնակցելուց, կասեին, թե հայկական կողմը հրաժարվում է խաղաղ բանակցություններից: «Առաջիկայում էլ հայկական կողմը հավատարիմ կմնա Մինսկի խմբի ձևաչափին և նման հանդիպումների շարունակականությանը»,-ասաց Վահրամ Բաղդասարյանը:
Նա հույս հայտնեց, որ հանդիպումից հետո Ալիևը կսկսի հաշվի նստել միջազգային հանրության հետ եւ կթուլացնի լարվածությունը սահմանին: «Մտածում ենք, որ նրա խորհրդատուներն ի վերջո կկշռադատեն իրենց քաղաքական կոմնորոշումները եւ համապատասխան եզրահանգումների կգան: Եթե նա ցանկանում է ներքաղաքական իրավիճակից շեղել հանրության ուշադրությունը եւ դա իր երիտասարդների կյանքի հաշվին է անում, ուրեմն, նա պետք է պատասխան տա իր հանրության առջև»,-հավելեց ՀՀԿ խմբակցության ղեկավարը:
Շվեյցարիայի Համադաշնության մայրաքաղաք Բեռնում դեկտեմբերի 19-ին կայացել են ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների միջնորդությամբ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի և Ադրբեջանի Հանրապետության նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի բանակցությունները` ուղղված ԼՂ հիմնահարցի խաղաղ կարգավորմանը: ՇՀ կառավարության «Լանդգութ Լոհն» ընդունելությունների տանը տեղի ունեցած հանդիպումը մեկնարկել է երկու երկրների արտաքին գործերի նախարարներ Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանի և Էլմար Մամեդյարովի, ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահներ Իգոր Պոպովի (Ռուսաստան), Ջեյմս Ուոլիքի (ԱՄՆ), Պիեռ Անդրիոյի (Ֆրանսիա) և ԵԱՀԿ գործող նախագահի անձնական ներկայացուցիչ Անջեյ Կասպրշիկի մասնակցությամբ, որից հետո սկսվել է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահների առանձնազրույցը: Բանակցությունների ժամանակ քննարկվել են հակամարտության գոտում լարվածության նվազեցմանն ուղղված քայլերը և հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման առաջմղման հնարավորությունները:
