«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. «Ընտրություններից առաջ՝ ակտիվ տեղական ինքակառավարման ընտրություններին ընդառաջ, քաղաքական ուժերը որոշակի քայլեր արդեն անում են: Յուրաքանչյուրը փորձում է հասկանալ՝ որ համայնքում ինչ կարող է անել ու ինչ շանսեր ունի: «ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի տեղեկություններով՝ քաղաքական ակտիվ պայքարի մեջ է լինելու Վանաձորի գործող քաղաքապետ Մամիկոն Ասլանյանը:

Նա, հնարավոր է, համագործակցի Խաչատուր Քոքոբելյանի հետ ու նրա ղեկավարած «Ազատ դեմոկրատներ» կուսակցությամբ առաջադրվի: «Քանի դեռ ընտրությունների օրը հայտնի չէ, որեւէ հստակ բան չեմ կարող ասել, քննարկումների մեջ ենք: Բայց, այո, պարոն Քոքոբելյանի հետ մետրիմ հարաբերությունների մեջ ենք, ու չեմ բացառում, որ «Ազատ դեմոկրատների» հետ կարող եմ համագործակցել,- «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի հետ զրույցում ասաց Մամիկոնյանը՝ հավելելով։ -Գործող քաղաքապետ եմ ու, ինչպես ՀՀ ցանկացած այլ քաղաքացի, ես էլ իրավունք ունեմ ու պատրաստվում եմ մասնակցել ընտրություններին»:

Խորհրդարան չանցած «Լուսավոր Հայաստան» կուսակցությունը, որ ՏԻՄ նախորդ ընտրությունների ժամանակ բավական թվով քվեներ էր ստացել Վանաձորում, դեռ որոշում չունի՝ այժմ ինչպես է մասնակցելու: Հայտնի է, որ կուսակցության առաջնորդ Մարուքյանի ծննդավայրը ԼՀԿ-ականների համար «ձայներ բերելու» առաջնային կետն է:

Խորհրդարանական արտահերթ ընտրություններից հետո, սակայն, ԼՀԿ-ն ասես խորը թմբիրի մեջ է: «Այս պահին քննարկում ենք մասնակցության հարցը, ձեւաչափը եւ թեկնածուին: Քանի դեռ ժամանակ կա, որոշում չունենք»,- «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի հետ զրույցում ասաց կուսակցության կառավարման խորհրդի անդամ Դավիթ Խաժակյանը:
