40-ամյա Բենջամին Գլինը մեղավոր է ճանաչվել չորս կետերով՝ այդ թվում պետական ծառայողներին անհարմարություններ պատճառելու եւ սպառնալու համար: Գլինը նախկինում ենթարկվել է հոգեբուժական փորձաքննության, որը դատավորի կողմից նշանակվել էր դատարանում նրա պահվածքի եւ դիտողությունների արդյունքում:
Նա դատարանին խնդրել է չեղարկել այն, ինչ ինքն անվանում է «անօրինական մեղադրանք», եւ խնդրել է վերադարձնել իր անձնագիրը, որպեսզի կարողանա վերադառնալ Մեծ Բրիտանիա:
Փետրվարին Սինգապուրի դատարանը բրիտանացուն երկու շաբաթվա ազատազրկման է դատապարտվել այն բանից հետո, երբ կարանտինում գտնվելու ժամանակ դուրս է եկել հյուրանոցի սենյակից՝ հանդիպելու իր հարսնացուին:
